Melquist closed her eyes, searching for peace in her mind. Everything was happening so quickly. She shook her head, pacing back and forth in an empty room. She Leaned her head on the back wall.
Breath in, breath out, breath-
A loud click interrupted her thoughts. She whirled around, alarmed.
A strange nocturne she'd never seen before closed the door behind her and started to walk towards Melquist. Even more alarming, the nocturne seemed to be... Grinning.
Melquist's heart raced as the nocturne approached her.
"Who are... You...?" she stammered, unsure whether it was some sort of prank.

The murderous grin on Iblees’ face faltered. She hadn’t anticipated a response like that. What she expected was something along the lines of a terrified scream or pleas for mercy- not a stupid question. Way to ruin the mood genius.
Irked, Iblees flexed her talons. She could still save the moment. A great rebuttal that would still strike fear into the core of her victim. She just had to phrase her words correctly...
Clawing the air Iblees scowled down at Melquist,” Who am I? Why I’m you’re greatest nightmare.” A slow clapping sound began in the back of Iblees’ mind. Her other half was mocking her. ’That. Was literally the cheesiest thing you could have said.’ The lyrical voice said to the current host. ’Shut up.’ Iblees snapped back, ’ You’re better at disturbing dragons with your repulsive words.’ The retort earned a small dismayed gasp, but her vain personality had stayed quiet.
Returning her attention to the ridgeback, Iblees grinned devilishly, revealing a row of pearly white teeth,” Anyway, let’s just move on to the good stuff.” After saying those last words, Iblees suddenly lunged. Racing towards the ridgeback, she reached out with her open paw and aimed for the soft spot below Melquist’s chin,” Die!”

Melquist gasped. No.
"M-my worst nightmare...?" she hesitated "No... you couldn't...."
Melquist shook her head. It was impossible. It couldn't be! No.
She couldn't be...
"A-a clam?!?" Melquist squeaked.
Too late. The nocturned lunged towards her. Melquist screamed. She leaped backwards and flapped her wings in distress. Gasping, she flew across the room. Desperately, she banged on the door, sending splinters flying.
"HELP!!!" she screamed as loud as she could, "LET ME OUUUUUUUT!!!!"

Knox was flying around the ship, he was observing the boat and it's build. It was quite nice and would be great for sailing if you knew who to sail it well. His ear flicked as he heard a yell, the first few were not very clear, but he heard something like help this scream.
He flew around the ship and entered the boat through a small window. He looked around for the noise, walking in the general direction.

Iblees spun around, annoyed her prey was trying to get away, but even more angered by the insult she had just received.
“A clam?!” she screeched with disgust, baffled by the guts of such a retort. How dare that vermin call her an ocean dweller. Quickly Iblees’ vain side took over as host in a fit of purdy fury,” I’ll kill you for that! Kill you!” she vowed, after the series of repulsions for her transformation had been completed.
Charging at the ridgeback once more, Iblees was now blinded by her range. It was to the point where her dainty personality didn’t care if her claws were soaked in blood.
Twirling through the air, Iblees swiped a large paw at Melquist’s head, hoping to slice it off clean from her shoulders,” REEE!”

Aedifex stopped. It felt like he was running in circles and already he felt worn out. Iblees was gone. He failed in catching her. In defeat, the tired guardian fell to the floor,” I... can’t go any longer... I’m sorry...” Aedifex wheezed in exhaustion. All hope seemed lost. It was up to fate to decide if anyone was going to die tonight,”
Aedifex’s head suddenly perked up. Cocking his head questionably, the guardian looked over towards Cosmo,” Did you hear that?” It sounded like someone screaming!”
He didn’t wait for a response. Aedifex shot up onto his feet and raced back down one corridor. He gritted his teeth. His muscles ached and screamed for him to stop, but he couldn’t let them down. He had to push through the pain. For them.
“I’m coming.”

Cosmo nearly jumped out of his scales as he heard a scream. His heart raced. Not again! He rushed after Aedifex, tornado mode. The guardian seemed to be in a lot of pain.
Poor guy...

Melquist dashed to the side but she was too late. The nocturne's serrated claws skimmed her neck, leaving a dark, bloody gash. Melquist shrieked and ran to the other side of the room. She clawed at the wooden planks, screaming for help.

Knox wandered towards the scream. Who was it? What was happening? He would if out soon. He came to a door where the screams came from.
"Hello!? What's happening?!"
Knox didn't sound worried, but he was curious. He looked at the door and anyway to see through it. He peeked through the door's crack.

Aedifex Tokyo drifted around the next corner and paused for a moment to take in what he was seeing. Immediately, he spotted at the end of the hall; a large dragon peeping through the cracks of a door. Behind the metal plate, the screams of another dragon was heard. The agonizing sound was enough to make any creature’s appendages stand on end.
Quickly, the guardian knew he had to take action,“ Knox!” Aedifex shouted, scratching the floor like a bull when it prepared to charge Stan assailant. Leaning back on his haunches, Aedifex tensed his muscles and then sprung off from them. In moments, Aedifex has accelerated to his highest speed,” MOVE!” he loudly suggested to Knox, bracing his open shoulder for impact.
If Aedifex had the time or cleverness to assume Know was the perpetrator, he would have done so, but because someone was in perilous danger, Ardifex had focused his attention of getting them to safety.
With a big boom, Aedifex’s body had rammed itself into the metal barrier. A bolt of pain shot up through his arm from the impact, making the guardian yelp out. Staggering back with a cloud dizziness, Aedifex was clearly shaken by the collusion. Quickly, he shook away his throbbing headache and observed that his stupidity had brought him some success. The door was incredibly dented, but it hung ajar on only a few attached hinges.
“C’mon...” Aedifex exhaustingly breathed at Knox, blinking black spots from his eyes.

Iblees cackled with glee when her claws ripped through the ridgeback’s flesh. It wasn’t quite the full decapitation she was going for, but it was still the first sight of blood she had in a long time. The nocturne squealed in pleasure, licking the warm, sticky blood of her glistening talons. The crimson liquid had released a sensational aroma that heightened her senses with adrenaline.
After her claws were licked bone-clean, Iblees’ attention returned to the shrieking ridgeback. She was clawing at the floor, looking for any signs of an escape. “What are you doing darling? I thought tag was a fun game that everyone liked playing,” she taunted. Strolling over, Iblees’ dagger-like claws dragged across the floor behind her, creating an earsplitting screech as they driven through the metal surface.
Suddenly a loud bang struck the door behind them and the barrier was blasted open.
Swiveling around, Iblees irritably groaned at the rude interruption,” What is it now?” she seethed. With her back turned to Melquist, Iblees sauntered over to the demolished door to confront her new visitors. Putting a finger up to her lip, Iblees sarcasticly signaled Melquist to stay quiet as she slipped behind the broken barrier. She was ready to ambush whomever rushed in to help Melquist.

Knox sighed and ran inside the room, he looked around to the wounded ridgeback and nothing else. He sped walk to the ridgeback to make sure if they were alright enough to walk. That tundra would be handy right now. Knox thought back to the motherly tundra that wanted to help him before.
Knox took glances around the room for anything that could have hurt the ridgeback, but nothing could make a clean slash. What was he missing?

Melquist dizzily flopped over to the wall. Suddenly, a loud BANG echoed through the room. She turned her head towards the nocturne who slyly slipped away to hide. A mirror rushed inside and came towards her. She stood up wobbly and took a few steps before stopping.
"Wait, you got to stop." she rasped, backing up.
Even a broken radio sounded better than her voice. It was terribly scratchy.
"Behind the... Door." she pointed her talon before coughing.
