Hello! When I joined back in 2016, it was before Open Registration and I had been sitting on top of it trying and trying to get in on the next window. When I finally made it, I was super-active and engaged for about a month? Then life happened, and I slowly forgot about FR, games in general, or most things I was doing for fun.

Since then, I have graduated grad school, finished my first full-year of teaching, and started to work as an interim teacher this school year which is less stressful than my old job but which pays much less. I started playing FR again as a means of stress-relief and to maybe have some low-stress interactions with other players.

I go by Prix a lot of places. The way this happened is a strange story that doesn't bear retelling very well. However, I am happy with my name-people-call-me-online. You do not pronounce the "x." It's like "Prix" in "Grand Prix."

A run-down of some boring stats: I'm a cis woman (she/her). I am in my latter 20s. I'm an English teacher. I'm bi/demi and chronically bad at it. I live in Tennessee. I am trying to adult; it's pretty difficult. These past couple of years have made me feel really bad at maintaining good friendships with people my own age. I have discord and twitter I'm willing to share if asked within reason.

Some of my favorite fandom-things are Guardians of the Galaxy, Agents of SHIELD, and the MCU in general, CW's DCTV, Doctor Who, and a few select anime including Steins;Gate and Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works. I have a complicated history with the Type Moon fandom. It's about as dull as it sounds.

Other favorite things include: sleeping in cold rooms with enough blankets, autumn/winter, dogs, kalamata olives, fresh tomatoes, and airports*.

*Yes, I really like airports. Perhaps it's that other people have been in them too often, but I've only been on a commercial flight a few times and while there might be some stress involved, I love the sense of purpose, functionality, and potential that is in airports.

I really don't like pineapple or pork. I won't judge you if you do.

If you'd like to get to know me or for me to get to know you, ask a question or pose a (playfully and forum acceptably) controversial opinion. We can have a friendly discussion.

Heya, welcome back to Flight Rising! I’m sure many things have changed whike you were gone, and the community is still standing strong.

I hope the stress you’re currently dealing with doesn’t affect you that much- but much is sure that the community will be here to support you if you need it :)

Enjoy your time here back on FR!

Hello, I am Heero I go by soe version of Heeroku on most sites. That was quite an intro..hehe

Congrats on finishing your first year of teaching.... FR is a great stress relief I think. the community here is quite chill most of the time, compared to other sites I have been on.

Being an adult is over rated ... I still feel 15 but I am far past that now.. Why do you have a hard time being friends with people your age?

I would love to get to know you more, I am always looking for more FR friends. So what do you plan on doing here ? favorite breed?

@Heeroku - Thanks! I am nothing if not verbose.

I guess my issue being friends with people my own age is mostly that I just... don't... meet any? Most people in my "peer group" don't seem to be where I am in life. Many of my coworkers are older than me. And thus far, I haven't secured a stable position in my career, so even when I meet people who are a little closer to my age, I don't have a good way to stay in touch with them because so far that jobs I have had involved commutes that made socializing outside of work a bit difficult. Plus, there's a certain kind of distance and civility with coworkers that exists for quite some time until you feel super secure in both your position and theirs. I feel like most people my age are either so deeply entrenched in something like a career or a marriage that they don't really need new people in their lives. I feel like they took care of all of that back in college or continue to do so through some means that I must not have access to. I feel like I was just so content making friends online for years that even my online friends are starting to grow up and drift away from the means through which we kept in contact, and it's understandable, but I haven't found an escape hatch and also feel like it isn't really right to just... drop people you supposedly cared about because you no longer especially care for the means through which you kept in touch.

My favorite breed at the moment is probably the Tundra breed. I really want to breed a pretty, sort of golden/maize colored Tundra with Starmap/Shimmer/Glimmer one day.

Haha I have a problem talking to much on here... I literally am the last response to like the top 10 boards sometimes.

I feel you, I am not around people my age ether... and funny thing is I tend to attract much older friends. I have my whole life. My best friend when I was 17 was 60 years old... but I never saw age. now it seems like people really look at you odd if you do not have friends your own age. I find most to be very immature... funny , people 10 years younger than me seem more mature than people my age. Its like once you are an adult you stop listing to rules and show your freedom as a rebellion to every rule you had before. I also do not drink or smoke and that is like all my age group does. right now... well and club .. which I hate.

I do not like dropping people but they seem to have no problem dropping me. but oh well .. I do not sit around crying about it.

ahh you are a gem gene person ..haha I am the opposite, I like brewing genes the most. I also have an all skydancer lair though imp males are cool as well...

@Heeroku - I actually didn't know they were "gem genes." I just found a pretty combo with the morphology scroll.
