3/20/14 Edit: I've got another pic with some alterations.

The main changes are the flexible frills that replace the wing membrane that runs from the ears to wing. The frill expands out as it goes down the neck and meeting at the base of the neck. Suggested by: @Adu and @ShadowKitsune
The long claws to help the dragon climb up to a better take off point. Suggested by: @Cutiepaws
And of course the long ribbony tail. Suggested by: @Rexila
Please tell me what think of the changes and any suggestions to make this the best dragon it can be.
I've got an idea for a dragon with the wing membrane stretching up to the base of the skull, or just behind the ears, and down to the tip of the tail. And a fluffy tail plume.

Bland Dragon is Bland for example purposes only!
I could see these dragons having a somewhat difficult time getting off the ground at first, but once they catch a strong air current they could ride the airways with ease.
As far as their diet goes I'd say small fish and insects would be best.

Hmm, in order to take off I think it would need the ability to climb. Could it have coconut crab claws? That would fix some of the blandness ;)

Hmm... I don't know about coconut crab claws, but maybe long claws and their back feet pointing backward to help them climb up to a good takeoff point? I'll do some more sketches and post another if I make something worth showing.

As the images are now... that dragon would have severely limited mobility. He wouldn't be able to move his head too far to either side, or down, due to being connected to the wings. Likewise, the tail is meant for steering and balance, and is unable to provide that being attached to the wings.
What would probably work better would be if the front membrane were like the rest of the dragons (attaching only at the wing), and have the membrane down the tail
and have the tail keep going even beyond that. The dragon would be mostly tail, but it would be able to move and such

Adu is correct about it not having a lot of mobility. But maybe it could have frills going down both sides of its neck that can be fanned out during flight. The tail could also be the same way for mobility in the air because right now it would be able to move it left or right in flight either. It could add a little more flare to the design making it look less bland too!

Oooh, frills sound good :3 Maybe it could swim like a flounder

I don't have my tablet plugged in now, but maybe if you made the tail longer and flatter,
like the tail of a kite with a build similar to your dragon. (see:
flying snakes)
Also, if the membrane by the neck had some elasticity to it, that could allow it to move its head side to side. Maybe not much, but some animals in real life have weird movement restrictions too. Maybe a wider field of vision could help compensate for that.
You might also need to tweak the wings, but I might have to look at actual gliding animals (not just flying squirrels, mind) before I start talking too much about that. XD

With the proper adjustment I'd like this. The wings are a nice idea!

Ah! The redesign looks really cute! ♥
