Oh yeah! I forgot some are kickstarter backed. I should pay more attention to familiar descriptions xD I just stare at pretty art most the time.

I have had cases like that as well... Thought of titles for stories... Thought of plots... and stuff... and then I stumbled over very old movies or new books or fanfictions or other junk that had the same or a similar title, sported the same or a similar idea...
My thought was always: Oh great... if you come out with your ideas like that now, everyone will say: Meh, thief! u.u"
On the other hand I prefer to create things that are a bit different and hopefully new... Though that becomes more and more difficult xD

But haaahhh... I can't care enough about something like that right now...

Here's another example:
The Amol: Described as a landshark, do tunneling and stuff: http://valenth.com/lore/Amol
They have a huge similarity to the bulette, the Landsharks from D&D in description and appearance and D&Ds designs are a lot older (1977 to be precice). http://www.wizards.com/DnD/Article.aspx?x=dnd/drdd/20071211 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulette
So now if the same rules apply, it would have to be considered copying and maybe even art theft. Valenth is also a profit making site and thus Deo should have asked Wizards of the Coast if she could use that design/idea. So now I can run around telling all people that Deo is using the ideas of others, right? Since it's okay the other way around too.
Mind me I found this resemblance ever since I discovered the bulette (started playing D&D), but I considered that it's probably a striking coincidence.

All I see is that FR has changed the snapper profile to take out the dreaming bit, making it obvious to me the last thing they want is to step on other site's toes. Also, so many games and even books make astonishingly similar monster designs because they are only so many things you can change to try to individualise them. Inevitably in this day and age finding something unique is almost impossible.

i knew I liked basic sky on tundras but I hadn't see it like that.

We went into a Paradise Park today. It's not so big, located in the botanical garden. But there are parrots flying all free (in the building of course), other tropical birds, iguanas without cages (but staff said you can't pet them or feed them). And butterflies. You can take home a butterfly cocoon and "hatch" a butterfly! They need a sugar water for meal, and they can live a week or more.

Bropaw. I love D&D too. And the thing is, they have zillion of monsters there, and there is a thousand resemblances. But Wisards of the Coast mostly just doesn't care. And all the "dark evil elves" thing (Drizzt was first!), and a lot more...

Okay. Wait a minute. Am I missing something? Again? Where did Deo say they were upset? When they were playing with all of us on our first thread, they specifically said they didn't see similarities between Snappers and Boras. How does FliRi even know we're talking about this that they made a change?
