I'd say it does help clear things up. The bit you included saying
"After he has sent the CR, I look up the prices for each familiar and add them all up. This CR was worth about 128kt. I reduce the total by my cut, and the math comes out to 78kt. I give him that amount in the currency he wanted"
is particularly helpful for getting an idea of each person's cut.

Thank you so much again for this! sending the items was a workout since I was trading familiars but you were really responsive and fast with the payments :]
Its kind of a relief to be able to get rid of all the things I had in my hoard without constantly checking prizes in the AH
