I'm absolutely obsessed with your spreadsheet and I spent 2 hours filling everything in!! I do have a few questions though, is there a safe way to expand the spreadsheet so that I can fit more dragons in it? And do you have any idea why all my dragons are coming back as incompatible?
@WispParadise Ah, that makes me so happy! :D You can expand it by copying and pasting the last row on I think any of the relevant sheets! As for incompatible, did you manually fill in all the ancestors? I’ll happily take a look at it also

My name is Dorian, and I like orchestrating huge unmanageable breeding projects, for which I decided I needed a tool that didn't exist yet. So I built it.

I didn't realize I had to manually fill in all the ancestors. Does that apply to 1st gen dragons as well?

This looks so insanely helpful and organized! I’m looking forward to figuring this thing out. I don’t understand this spreadsheets magic, where do you even learn how to use it like this? Haha

Don’t hesitate to ask for help if you need any, it helps me make the sheet better too. As for learning, I did the most basic Excel class when I was 12 and since then I’ve just been looking up how to solve problems as I encounter them. I have a brain that really loves spreadsheets and just works pretty optimally for the logic they use :’D so I got lucky but I’m sure you don’t need one to get good at it!

I messed with it pretty much all day! It was working pretty well but at the end of the day, I’m not sure if I accidentally messed with something I shouldn’t have or not… but the verdict results are looking very messy and the calculator thinks everyone is related even though I made sure the names were unique. I guess all there is to do about that is compare the original spreadsheet.

One thing I think this could use is the option to add dragons to multiple projects, I have to switch the numbers if I want to check breeding pairs for another project. Or maybe there’s a way to edit multiple boxes at once to make it easier?

Even when it’s not working right, it’s a pretty invaluable tool! Great work honestly!

I’m more than happy to help!

oh no, I didn’t word it very well haha. Like if I wanted to use the same dragon for different projects, I can only put one number there. So if I want to use that dragon for a different project I have to change the number.

I’ll message you the link later when I’m on my computer!

@UhOhItsDorian Hey, um, I can't seem to write or use the calculator. I don't know if it's because of me or the spreadsheet
