OH HAI EXPENSIVE DERGS!!! Let me tell you about my beautiful, insanely expensive nocturne, aka He On Whom Vast Sums Have Been Spent. His epic (and oh so expensive) journey started way back on January 4, 2015, when I hatched out a fire-sand-emerald boy from an egg gathered during the first Night of the Nocturne event. I had been thinking for a while it'd be interesting to have a scatterscroll project dragon. He was dubbed 'it' and initially named the very unoriginal 'Project'. Twelve scatterscrolls later he landed on gold-spring-jade and I decided that was a reasonably attractive stopping point, and gave him spines, and then scrounged up the gems to get him crystal and the recently released facet. Changed his name to Faramir. And then half a year later I was already tired of his colours, so off he went for another round of sctterscrolling, which brought him up to 21 in total, and landed him on storm-obsidian-caribbean. At some point in there his tert got changed again, from smoke to glimmer. Renamed him from Faramir to Moneypit, because obviously he was one. That took him up to a total of 31, and landed him on the rather garish peridot-radioactive-pumpkin. Changed his tert from glimmer to stained (oh gawd another gem gene) to even out his colour a bit. Was tired of the crystal-facet so he also got changed to the then-still-newish peregrine-falcon genes. Much rejoicing occured, since I was clearly never, ever, [i]ever[/i] going to throw another scatterscroll at his majestic XYY colouring. Though he did require more gem genes. To wasp-bee-filigree. But let's rough it out: [center]43 scatterscrolls x 350 gems = 15050 gems crystal and wasp at 1500 gems = 3000 gems facet, glimmer, stained, bee, and filigree at 1200 gems = 6000 gems [b]TOTAL GEMS: 22850[/b] Spines, smoke, peregrine, and falcon at Dom shop + tip prices [b]TOTAL TREASURE: 621000[/b][/center]

Waited months for WC scrolls to come back and they didn't, so I ended up dropping 2.5kG on that. More than that, though, is the fact that I made him a custom skin that I've yet to submit. I'll probably do a 5-print of it, which is 3.5kG...not to mention the time I spent making the thing. Good [i]gravy[/i], you [i]beast[/i]. Eating 6kG and ~12h in MBP like that.
