Having only formed in recent history they unite under the name of their chief's family name, The Majino. The Maji Tribe were once a collection of nomadic people who would wander from land to land. To those unaware, they would appear no different than wandering beastclans, however, unlike them, they would often find themselves in the passing of other clans, tribes and cities, serving whoever their current masters may be. When Chang eventually left her home, she would wander into the Plaguelands, only to pass other smaller nations. It's unsure when, or how she first came to speak with the Greater One but it is believed that it was the land she chose to call home that led to some reason, at least partial in his selection. The Maji people would take in any ad every dragon in passing, from the injured and sick to the young and orphaned. Some would call this place home for the rest of their lives, while others would only stay for a while. Whatever the reason, the clan welcomes all. Be warned however, secrets lurk behind every corner, only to be uncovered by those willing to listen to the darkest shadows lurking. They offered refuge to passing dragons, allowing them to stay as they need, but warned them to leave before they too, become tainted. It's said they would one day be cleansed of their ancestry, but they would not renounce their bloodline. They have passed down their traditions within their lineage to tend to the lost grave of their god, whilst keeping it a secret from the others. They attune to the dead and hold sacred rites for those around them. Not all remain in the Maji, but where they go, they are sure to carry their traditions, and take their secrets to their graves. It is said they once were exiled from the land of shadows and found their place here. It'd hard to say when, or where exactly, but if anyone was first, it was them. Despite this partial right to the land and the reason to lead, they instead took to instead following Chief Chang Majino. While the Violetwings are plentiful, there is a single branch of the family that remains in charge. Jinro continues to lead the family in all important matters while their lifelong mate, Chamisuul continues to keep them in check making sure that any choices are not just done for the benefit of their family and bloodline, but their entire clan as well. Their people telling a tale of dragons that were born from falling stars and could grand a wish. While some evidence could support this story, it's regarded mostly as a myth. No one knows why they left their home, only that Miz'Jyn was the one to find the first of them and welcome them to the Maji Tribe. The secrets of their reason for leaving home kept between the three of them, and never told again. With time spent among the clan, others have picked up on a few of their strange habits, some dismissing them as weird, others keeping them in mind in trying to solve the true origins of these dragons. When a full moon hands in the sky, it seems they all vanish no where to be found. Their homes dormant. Some speculate they undergo a transformation, others wonder where they go off to. During a new moon they seem to lock themselves at home and stick to their work, talking to no one. Perhaps they are just moody when it comes to the moon. [center][b]THE GREATER ONE[/b] [img]https://i.imgur.com/bOs5eu4.png[/img][/center] To understand the basis of who and what [i]The Greater One[/i] is, one must grasp the root of the thought. The "gods" are all dragons. They are beings that bore rest of dragonkind and all are descendants from them. This means that dragons, from egg to hatchling to adulthood, are just beings that will one day reach the next state of life; Godhood. While other creatures seem to exist as a byproduct, those that follow in the faith of [i]The Greater One[/i] acknowledge all of these great gods and how they have shaped the world, but there is life far beyond their gods. This entity, known as [i]The Greater One.[/i] There is few other deities even stronger in power, but life on Sornieth is so far beneath them. After all, dragons do not often worry about the ants that walk the earth under their feet, neither would these great divine beings. There are many subsects and branches of the faith. The differences will be listed with the following: [b]Path Of The Greater One:[/b] Those devoted into following the steps of their deity. This is for warriors and those whose destiny is to prove themselves to their great god to be a worthy vessel, or honorable enough to be graced with even a small fraction of their power. The only others more worthy than they, are those who stem from the bloodline of [i]The Greater One[/i]. [b]Greater One's Heritage:[/b] Born into the faith, born from the blood that created them, only they are seen as the ones lucky enough to have been touched. Their will is no different than coming from their grand deity themselves. Those that share the blood of [i]The Greater One[/i] are not just seen as greater beings, but are. Their awareness of those around them, as well as their affinity for magic remains far greater than any other, no matter how many years of devotion is spent. To this day, the only known "true heirs" belong to the Dosaah family. And to others, they are seen as oracles and fortune tellers. [b]Greater One's Will:[/b] For those converted or enlightened of the ways. They may not have always believed, or may still not. It is the will of [i]The Greater One[/i] that they are protected and graced, though, nothing stops them from casting out their faith and taking their own path in life. Free will, that is the will of [i]The Greater One[/i], they bind you to nothing, unlike those other deities. [b]Grave of The Greater One:[/b] Death is not the end. It is believed that those that follow in the grave are the only few that possess actual artifacts of the [i]The Greater One[/i]. It is not in life that one lives, but in the fruitions from death. They don't believe [i]The Greater One[/i] is dead, but rather relish in the teachings of each life their deity takes. Death is not the end for them, it is only the means of a new beginning. [center][i][b]Lesser Faiths:[/b][/i][/center] Not to say that they are "less than" but rather far less prominent than subsects of The Greater One. Often, these faiths share traits with another subsect: [b]Rotten Deeproot:[/b] The life springs from nature and death. Those buried return to nature and are returned to the circle of life.
