Biography

Sable

15122.png23821.png

Architect

Sable comes from a lengthy line of architects, popularly known for their skill in incorporating annual wildflowers into the structure of their builds. She desperately wanted to follow in their footsteps. But, with a coatl mother, many dragons doubted her skill. They believed she valued beauty over safety and never seemed convinced of her qualifications. Sable went above and beyond, surpassing her parents and her grandparents until she was hired by the Gladekeeper herself to construct a new farmer's market. She poured herself into the project, consulting every respected colleague and noting their comments, which were mostly complements, so the build could be just perfect. When disaster struck, a record-breaking tornado which would later be discovered as an attack from the Windsinger, and the entire market was obliterated, the public took the catastrophe as a bad omen and ruined Sable.

Discouraged but relentless, she wandered from domain to domain, searching for projects. While she found some success, she could never escape the innate desire to incorporate flowers. Her flower bias earned much ridicule and sent her off over and over. She had only been in the Shadowbinder's realm a short while before Miran located her, desperate for aid in constructing a new segment of the den. It would be built from a softer stone, one they were unable to work with. Sable asked if there were any restrictions, Miran just asked for it to not be ugly and that it was safe. Sable agreed. After the Howlite Hollow was completed Forras questioned if Sable would stay and offer regular maintenance to the den. Sable nodded, finally in a place where she was truly accepted and appreciated.

Sable is sweet and hard-working. When she has a project, her mind is on little else and she can come off as curt. Many dragons as for simple additions or modifications to their caves and she obliges, offering some free advice too.
