Biography
Larimara, like her brothers and sisters, has always been a different one. Her father, a brilliant engineer, was born adorned with a crystal-like pattern over his scales and flesh. Her mother, however, was made of living crystal. The two had met when her father dug her out of the ground and helped her make a home for herself. TO this day, nobody knows for sure what exactly she is or where she came from.
Nonetheless, the two fell in love, and the settled and had children. All those children were born a mix of the parents not only in color, but structure. Lari, along with her brothers and sisters were beings of half flesh, half living crystal.
Her parents had learned that any of their children born with their father's gembond were more on the organic side, whereas those who received their mother's runes were more crystal. They hypothesized that the runes stabilized the crystal's life somehow, but how that worked was still a mystery that evaded them both.
As a child, Lari enjoyed her uniqueness, her combination of forms. Feeling the vibrations of her crystalline body along with her organic senses was something she realized not everyone experienced. But as she grew up, curiosity gnawed at her. What was she? Where did her mother come from? What did the runes written on them mean? She decided to leave home and seek those answers, and promised her parents she would someday find them. They wished her farewell and her mother gifted her a necklace she'd made using one of her crystals, so she may be with her on her journey.
She traveled far and wide, on an eternal hunt for information and clues to answer the questions of her existence. She doesn't know what she will discover, where she will end up, and who she'll meet. For better and for worse, her life will never be the same.
