Imelda

In the beginning, there was an egg. In a peaceful glade, overlooking a field, a pair of Fae left their one and only surviving egg, hoping for a better life for her. Warmed by the sun and protected by the thick underbrush, Imelda hatched on a bright sunny morning in late spring.

Her first few years were spend as a wild child, eating anything that didn’t make her sick and communing with the other creatures that inhabited the glade. She of course had no way to tell time besides the seasons. She had no contact with other dragons all her life, until her fourteenth winter, when a bitter cold swept in to the glade where no ice had ever fallen.

Imelda would have frozen to death if it weren’t for two Tundra dragons, traveling with their son, Johnannes. They carried spare clothing in their travel bags, and cuddled deep in their shaggy fur, Imelda was warm. They taught her to speak, and later write. The winter last unusually long, years even, and just as Imelda feared the snow would never leave, it began to thaw.

The warming tempatures proved too hot for the tundras, and so they began packing to to head back north, where they belonged. Johnannes, however, could not be persuaded to leave. He had fallen in love with the Fae and now an adult, he choose to stay with her.

Together, Johnannes and Imelda founded their own clan, inviting dragons from all walks to join them in peace and harmony. They appointed three other dragons to their council to assist governing their growing extended family.

Together they had 3 children. Cranberry and Lance, who have stayed with the clan since it’s founding, and an unamed son who’s wanderlust could not be tamed. Imelda ended a brief fling with Torrid, which resulted in 5 more children, which only Cetus and Typheus remain.

Imelda is a kind, fun loving Fae with a strong sense of fair and not. It is important to her that all shares be equal and everyone gets along.

She, however, is peculiar in some ways because of raising herself for so long. She has no instinct to hoard treasure, and she is not always paying attention to the meaning of some social ques. She also talks to herself often, a habit left over when she was familiarizing herself with words.
