INTERCEPTED TRANSMISSION
We called them peacemakers, once.

Daydreamers and diplomats, a sanctuary and a refuge. A little untouched corner of the world where they believed in peace; where dragonkind and the beastfolk lived in harmony. And, would you believe it? They tried to spread this belief. They held diplomatic meetings and festivals. Clan Lucerna was a silly clan, weren't they?

Yes, sir.

They did not understand that dragonkind is a tool of war. There's no denying our nature. They wedged themselves between the affairs of dragonfolk and beastclans, fighting for peace in a world that has never known it. Trying to settle wounded hearts. Sornieth has been war-torn for millennia. And one silly, stupid clan thought they could make things better.

They succeeded, sometimes, didn't they?

They struck a few ceasefires between beastclans, sure. But nothing long term. Nothing I would call a stable, lasting peace. Wouldn't you agree?

Of course, sir.

A clan of negotiators. But they are... not just that, it has come to our attention. Their leader struck an odd business deal with us, you see. A frankly ridiculous amount of gold for our finest developments into magitech. Their leader was always withdrawn and a woman of few words, I'm told, but her harshness was new. I would almost think she didn't like us.

... have we... done something to upset her?

Oh, nothing worse than every other clan. But if we have made an enemy, I'd rather like to know, shouldn't I? I've been told they've been redirecting their efforts from diplomacy into something a bit more... nebulous. Entirely unknown, in fact. I suspect that's where our parts went.

Figure out where those parts we sold are going, and whether it's a cause for concern. I care little about their pet projects, unless they plan on aiming it somewhere... undesirable.

Oh, nothing too special. Gather information. A short profile on every member would be quite nice, don't you like?
