Take off your shoes, for the ground you tread upon is holy. The very ice crunching beneath your boots breathes, taking in the scent of you. The air brushes through your hair, or perhaps your fur, running gentle, glacial fingers over your very skin.

A statue enters your vision, breaching through the flurry of snow like a beacon of hope. The image of a dragon, one that traverses the tundra, has been immortalized here. A shudder isn't impossible, not given the conditions and the sight before you. Perfectly carved stone, like dark marble, perches skillfully upon the ice. Ominously, the statue has been graced with eyes coated with mother of pearl.

That is, until you see those very eyes close and reopen.
