Clan leader Groot always wanted to have his own clan, but he was kind of shy and couldn't find a mate. Then the little Fae came along. She just took his paw and said: "Will you run away with me?"
And he said yes and they did.
Groot's clan was at the edge of the Abiding Boneyard, far away from other nature clans, but it started out as a nature clan. Slowly, thought, the plague crept over. Groot and Fae debated if they should find a different home, but in the end, stubbornness won. They stayed while the plague swallowed them whole.
New Hatchlings of the clan turn out weird now and then, but Groot has made a decision and he'll stick with it. Rot is a part of nature after all.
