LORE UNDER CONSTRUCTION:

Ayala is a former pirate captain, whose ship sank in a storm off the coast of the Arcane region. She lost her entire crew in that storm. Her crew was like her family. With her comrades gone, she had nearly lost the will to live, wandering in this new and dangerous place, till she was found by a Guardian female. Ayala named this dragon Myst, and now she's carving out a new life with a new family... who just so happen to be dragons.

Ayala can't quite give up certain aspects of the pirate life-- she commonly refers to her clan as her crew. Their clan name comes from the name of her sunken ship, which was called the Northern Storm. And, like all the best pirates, she still thrives on thrills. She's always planning the next party, the next fun thing, the next interesting project. You can bet she's gonna turn most or all of her dragons into accomplished fighters over time.

The Clan of the Northern Storm maintains a position of neutrality. They don't participate in Dominance, nor do they consider the Beastclans their enemy. Ayala has opened her lair up as a sactuary for any Beastfolk who wish to live in peace, as well as those exiled from their own clans. The dragons of the clan will fight Beastfolk if they must, but only in self defense. Ayala is grateful to the Arcanist for allowing her to live in his realm, but she doesn't consider herself to be his subject, nor does she consider that he has any power over her or her clan. You'd be hard pressed to find any devout followers of the gods in her clan, as like tends to attract like, and Ayala's clanmates tend to share her opinions on the matter. Many of her clanmates came to her as hatchlings, and so they grew up as skeptics of the gods. Others came to her as adults, and stayed because they had found a like-minded group.
