The Moonstone Climb
You stand on a jagged cliff edge, warmed by the sun yet still treacherous and rocky. Behind you, to the east, lay a mountain range of deep black peaks. The sun does not discern the contour of each cliff. Rather, the mountains lay across the landscape like an obsidian blanket. To the west, in front of you but hundreds of feet down, lay a valley. Light seems to radiate off of it in the same way a smile would radiate off of one's face. The only sign of civilization is a single sign, carved roughly by what you could only assume to be a dragon's talon. It reads:
"Whether you choose the Amber Vale or the Onyx Peaks, you are accepted. Without the darkness, the light has no purpose."
Welcome to the Moonstone Climb! Here is where you make your choice. Do you belong to the darkness or the light? Tread carefully. Here are a few things you should know:
