The Collectors
Long ago, there lived a clan deep within the Whispering Forest. The forest was an enchanted place, cursing all to set foot within its trees to never find the way out, and sending entities not unlike spirits to hunt them to claim their souls.

And yet despite the danger of this place, the clan thrived. Protected by both magic and the too-sharp teeth of beings that may have been dragons, once upon a time, had the forest not changed them. Other survivors oft whispered their name, for they were a benevolent clan that offered help to those who needed it—but they were also scarred, from countless battles with the forest’s malevolent energies, and unafraid to cause harm to the entities to protect themselves and others.

Long ago, it was said that if you found yourself lost to the forest to search for the Collectors, for they would offer a home.
