Suggestions

Koi fish. There are so many different combinations, that it'd be easy (relatively) I think to find types to suit whatever breed's colours, because even with the basic kinds of koi you can get mutations that end up as entirely new colours and patterns. @ Mulshalor, oh gosh I do love the Koi idea. It'd look great on spirals - or generally anything in Water Flight.

As for suggestions from me I think points/fawn/piebald are something that'd probably be really easy to implement so there's that. Also scale enhancement gene or something might be neat? (rough scales?, Hardscale Gene?)

Remember ya'll, this has to work on all the breeds with all the colors, so pointing out particular colors can't really be used. Think more like patterns.

I like the piebald and leopard/jaguar spots. What about leather? It would give the skin a leathery texture rather than a scaley or furry one. There could also be a basic grizzle or brindle gene like something found in the wild.

I also like the idea of having a (set of) gene(s) for each flight.
Ex:
Fire - embers, flames (obviously), lava, obsidian plates(?)
Earth - rocks (growing out of/onto the dragon), metal ores(?), a covering of dust/dirt/grime
Plague - tumors, rot, exposed bone(?), etc.
Water - gills, coral(?), water (like doused in water, similar to shimmer)
???

You get the point. I hope.

Hm....thinks. African spotted penguins, serval, bobcat, linx, tabby cat, Bengal cat, savannah cat, mandarin fish, and peregrine flacon.

Corn snake, black rat snake, elemard tree python, diamondback rattle snake, garter snake, king snake, and anaconda.

How about a gene that mimics the pattern of P. Regius? Example of how it could look: [img]http://i44.tinypic.com/o02f00.jpg[/img] ETA: I used two colors in making this. A lighter tone than the base color, and a darker tone than the base color. So it's a two-tone marking, so to speak.
