I'm thinking of making a doc or spreadsheet to split up my savings atm, since I kinda do want to save for specific things but the Vault feature only has one giant pile of money and it's hard to keep track of. So what do you guys think about if the devs introduced a feature where you could make multiple bank accounts for saving for specific things? I'd appreciate it very much!
But to add on top of that, some games like to flesh it out a lot more than that, with interest, bonuses, etc. Would you use this often if it was implemented? I honestly think even if they didn't add extra stuff to it I'd use it all the time. I actually kinda prefer not to complicate it like that. Not that it sounds super complicated honestly, but just, I really like organisation!
It would also be really cool to do something like this for the hoard too, with more organisation, and sorting. Anyone else down for more organisation features in this game?

I'm not opposed to multiple "spending buckets" where you can separate your saved treasure out into individual projects-- but idk about the concept of a real bank, wherein you submit money and gain interest, mostly bc that's just going to make rich players even richer and going to encourage hoarding treasure instead of spending it.
Dappervolk has a concept like this, where you generate interest if you bank your potatoes. I imagine a lot of players just save to the point where the site is just giving them a ton of free money and then you don't even have to do anything to generate wealth.
Cool in some ways, but this sort of thing also killed GaiaOnline.

@McAlli
True, didn't think much about it before I posted this but I can totally see how that would be an issue. I'd add that to the reasons I wouldn't want them to make it a full on banking feature [emoji=everlux sad size=1] Main thing I want is spending buckets lol
These kind of features kill a lot of games, actually, as far as I am aware :/

I don't mind the idea of having separate caches to store funds. Definite no on any kind of gains.

This is why I'm thinking to switch banks irl - my savings is all one lob LOL. I also rather have an in-house budget feature than have to use a 3rd party app for it too, so I'm looking forward changing things up.
I think it'd be cool, though thankfully I don't need anything more sophisticated than something along the lines of a shopping list on my project dragon's page and the cost to remind me what I'm budgeting for.

Getting money because you have money is a terrible game mechanic, though. It only benefits the rich, meaning that inflation will be ballooning

This is, alas, the way of it. I was there in the old days of Neopets when you didn’t even have to sign in to collect your interest. They just gave you money for having money.

free interest wouldn't be a good idea since it will make inflation go out of control in a way that skews the game's entire market in favor of the rich, but the idea of just having multiple tabs in the vault isn't bad. i'd imagine that it would be a nice feature for flight treasurers who need to separate their own items/funds from items/funds raised to use for flight programs (dom comes to mind).

I think all the time about having something like a "supervault". The vault is where I go when I impulsively want to treat myself. I wish there was a place where you're actually supposed to forget about the money in it so it's easier for weak-disciplined ones like me to save up long-term.
