I don't remember when or if it was announced, but I was checking my dragons earlier, and noticed one of my fathoms looked a bit off. Side by side, I realized it was because her secondary now covered a part of her wing/arm it hadn't before, and it just looks...out of place? For reference, this is what she looked like before:

And this is what she looks like now:

Something about the secondary having been changed to cover the sort of "elbow" of the arm looks much less appealing to me. Unsure if other fathom enjoyers feel the same, but I liked it much better in its original format. It added a bit more variation that feels flatter now.
EDIT: This also took place after the 45 day time period for significant gene changes to occur, so I feel like that's part of the issue as well

Support, for both looks and also consistency with other similarly winged breeds like banescales

I didn't even think about the banescale thing, but you're right! I love when dragons with sort of webbed wings like that show their primary colors on the edge there

Support, because if you breed-change her to a guardian, it literally shows the wing frame as having the same colour as the primary, with only the very tips being the secondary colour.

Weird inconsistency
Edit: Honestly, it also looks really weird in general, especially for genes with patterns. I tried some other genes, and now the secondary gene kind of looks transparent and layers over the wing frame with a lowered opacity for a lot of genes? (Eg. Paisley)

behold: if you thought Blend looked funny, look at Paisley :pensive: ^
Strangely enough, some genes like Shimmer is totally unaffected by this change.

Support: The elbow or wing/arm extension should be the color of the body, and the wing should be separate, IMO—it's aesthetically more appealing. I enjoy the second photo much less than I do the original. I hope other breeds are considered with this as well.

particularly irksome on genes like noxtide. at least make it so that the arm carries the wing pattern rather than the body pattern...
edit: also, the edit for striation skewed it several pixels and it's. still like that.

Support! While I'm generally open to gene variety among breeds to make them more unique, this should be consistent with the others. It just looks weird like this.

Definitely agree that the change looks weird and would like it to be reverted. I don't like how it makes the wing blend together with the elbow fins.
The strange thing is that it only seems to be impacting some genes at the moment so I'm hoping it's some kind of bug. Here's one of my girls with foam (impacted) v. one with current (same as before):

Edit: Looks like current got hit too. Here's what it used to look like:

One, support. Two I checked the old bug report forum for fathoms. The wrist coloration started by the end of August to match the Mpose and Hpose. I think the better choice would have been to change those two poses instead of the Fpose as the wrist color really made the wing membranes pop. It also would have looked more consistant with other modern breeds.
As for the dragons above, unfortunately its not a bug. Some secondary genes have yet to be colored over the wrists. It's disappointing because some primaries were intentionally colored to go over the wrist, like the skink example above. It's really disappointing.
