No support. Honestly since they're a burrowing dragon it makes perfect sense to me that their heads would be smooth. I like them.

It seems like this breed is not everyone's taste which is fine, but I think it's good for us to remember human beings created these things. I've been avoiding the forums since release because of the explosion of harsh posts about it.

It takes several years for a new modern to be released because there are *thousands* of apparel items. Ancients specifically exist so they can release breeds faster. If this one isn't someone's cup of tea, the next one may be! I really love this design from a creature design aspect - not everything needs to look as cool as possible, and it seems like they took a realistic approach to the Dusthide in making its body suited to its main environment.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be allowed to vent or talk about breeds we like less, but I am saying that the artist that worked their butt off on this breed is probably reading the forums so...we shouldn't treat their work like it's just one big mistake to be graded.

I think they're adorable and I wanna pat their little heads.

I'm only offering some [i]personal[/i] thoughts about design flow; I'm not trying to shoot down the artists involved, as mentioned in my initial post. The staff members of Flight Rising are incredibly talented, and I appreciate all the work that they do for us. My post is not an outpouring of negativity, and I even commented on the aspects that I do enjoy about the Dusthide breed. My critique is only my own two cents on what I think could have been improved. As stated multiple times, it is not an effort to tear the staff down or crap on their work in any fashion. I [b][i]like the breed[/i][/b]. I just think there are small ways that it could be better, and that's a perfectly valid opinion to have. As I mentioned my opinion is my own, and it is in no way a reflection of the take that I expect anyone else to have. I only wanted to offer my own thoughts about the design, and I should be allowed to say as much. Perhaps there are other people who are being more aggressive or hurtful about it, but I am not one of them. Please don't misunderstand my stance. Thank you. It's good that you enjoy them! I'm glad that you like their design as-is. Patting their heads sounds very fun, haha. As someone who enjoys it when that kind of affection is displayed (especially since I do this with my cat all the time), I find that lovely and endearing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, but again, I would appreciate that you don't assume mine.

I don't know if there will ever be a base update but I support the added spikes. The reason why I gravitate to spore is because I want more spine plates in the design because they're based on a spiny lizard that curls up. I'm not a fan of the wings. Honestly I would have given them 6 clawed legs and no wings. I think wings defeats the purpose of a digging dragon. The claws they have are seen on animals that dig. But that's my own little head cannon I will doodle with.

Support. They look a little off right now, your mock ups fix those issues. I doubt anything will get changed unfortunately.

You don't have to read this or honor my request; I'm just wondering if it could be locked, but if not, I can respect that too.

I value the opinions of my fellow players, but I would like to let this discussion end here at this point. It has been nice to see varying opinions about the breed, as I enjoy reading through and digesting what other people have to say, but at the same time, I'd rather my contribution to the feedback and discussion of the Dusthide not be perceived to be bashing the staff in any way, or attempting to tear the artists down and be cruel or rude about their wonderful work.

That concept stresses me out tremendously, as that wasn't my intention with crafting my post. It was only meant to be a small amount of critique, taken with a grain of salt because it's my merely own thoughts that ultimately don't hold that much weight, and it's fine if people don't agree, as it's just my personal two cents.

But I worry that what I meant to say, and what I hoped to express, is not coming across very well with my post, and that it might be causing distress or unhappiness to my fellow players. With that in mind, I am humbly requesting a lock to this thread. At this point, I'm experiencing an amount of anxiety over this topic, so I would appreciate the chance to be able to let it rest in peace from here on out.
