I'm... going to have to say no support on this.
As someone who trains dragons in the Mire extensively using a 119 str dragon, after this update, I can't see much of a difference. Sure, the armadillos are a bit of a pain to work with, but I just equate them to any other situation with a bunch of scratchers - I'm probably gunna tank a hit and that's fine, I have potions from grinding and if it gets super bad (which it rarely does) I can just refresh and start over and get my breath back relatively quickly. (I think those kelpies will be a big help in gaining breath, too, due to their slowness).
I also don't think coli venues/coli enemies should be crafted with an already-existing meta in mind, but rather, the meta should be crafted with the enemies/venue in mind. Times will change, and so too will the meta.
I find it kind of ironic that, for a venue that is (loosely I guess) considered to be a Plague venue, instead of adapting and thriving to the challenge presented, people are choosing to ask for things to be easier. heh.

No support. :<
The mire wasn’t created to become a fodder training venue and it’s nice to have things jumbled up a bit. I used to train in Ghostlight Ruins. It’s gives almost the same amount of experience points. And training in the mire isn’t like impossible now. It may be harder but people can like a challenge. :3

No support. My build is working fine and I've had those girls running 119-120/70 stats for 6 years. haven't had a single problem scratch + eliminating anything new so far.
Granted, looks like everyone else is trying to Rally + Eliminate. But that's not the only good Mire build out there.

I know I don't speak for everyone but I really don't like how this update went. Using the meditate build really helped with wrist/hand pain since I could rally + eliminate all enemies and build up breath quickly. Now I have to go back to using the 119 scratch + eliminate and it messes up my hand.
I completely understand the sentiment with stagnation and agree with it! I'd love to have things shaken up! The problem is that if I want to keep using the meditate build I have to sacrifice pretty much all of my vitality to do it, and that means more refreshes which I don't think is all that fun.
I was hoping that staff could up the max level cap instead of nerfing the new mire enemies. That way, you can have more strength in your builds without sacrificing your health and we can get cool new venues and new meta. Having three level 25 venues is, at least to me, pretty weird. Why not have more venues of lower levels? Why change the meta of ones that are extremely popular with the playerbase to the point that one of the fastest builds is no longer usable without it becoming a glass canon?
I like the new enemies. I like that the devs tried to shake things up. I just think that they went about it the wrong way and it's really disheartening to see a few replies that read as passive aggressive towards those who don't like the new change.

I understand that my build isn't what those talking here are using, but I use a 125 STR/61 QCK build which has worked for years. It still works. There are plenty of equally viable builds that I really don't think this is necessary. I get many people probably don't want a glass cannon but, I don't know, I don't have a problem with it. If you really want longevity, grab a healer.
I don't think the update is an issue, personally.

I'm glad other people are saying it too cuz I hesitated to. The devs aren't obligated to play to every build's liking. No support, just pay the extra 30kt and fix your build.

After using the new build some more, the mire feels easier than it did before due to the decreased frequency of bosses, decreased frequency of generally annoying packs, and kelpies being free battles. It's fine.

I don't mind it, I don't think the site should stay stagnant just because we already have set ways of doing things.

No support.
As someone who spends lots of time in the mire, I'm fine with the new enemy health.
I updated my meditate-based mire flier with 123 strength, and it plays exactly like it used to. Better, even - salve kamitachi are just a bit rarer now so I don't have to restart on the first battle quite as often.
Also, the 'adapt to the new environment' for plague thing is fitting.

The problem isn't buying tinctures. I don't want the dev team to bend over backwards to satisfy all mire builds. That's not what I'm saying.
What I am saying is that this update made one of the best (both time wise and button-press wise) fodder trainers obsolete, and that kinda sucks.
Getting a healer for your glass cannon will make it take double the time that it did before. Having the glass cannon alone will cause more refreshes and more frustration in the already tedious coli grind.
Just saying to fix the build doesn't help. The "fix" for this build is making it squishy to defeat 2 enemies that don't need to have that much health. 119str scratch + eliminate is still a valid build, but a lot of people, including myself, can't use it comfortably or at all since it requires more button presses which can lead to hand pain. The meditate build helped a lot with my own hand/wrist pain, but now that I have to sacrifice vitality to make up for the difference, it just makes the coli a lot less enjoyable.
Like I said, I don't want the devs to cater to every build. I like change. But when that change makes it immensely uncomfortable, frustrating, or downright impossible for players to enjoy this aspect of the game when they did before isn't...great.
There are other ways to make changes to the coliseum to make things interesting without crippling the abilities of many players to be able to participate. Simply saying add a healer or "fix your build" won't solve these problems.
