I don't know if it's been suggested already in some form, but what about a gene that was kind of like a glowing aura around the dragon?
(I can't seem to get any of the skin templates to work otherwise I'd provide an example of what I'm picturing but) something basically like a blurry outline around the dragon, wings and legs and stuff. o3o

Love the idea, but I see a problem with this. How would it work with dark colors? They won't look like glowing spots - to achieve that effect you need an "aura" of fading color around the luminescent spot, but having it black or dark blue (or simply darker than the color underneath) would probably make it look like a... bulletholes tert... or something D:
Maybe we could make the luminescent spots always white/almost white (that would show incandescence in that spot) and make the fading aura of light take the actual tertiary color. Not sure if it's clear- it's easier drawn than said.

Super-gembond! Basically gembond, but shinier, with more color variation, and looking slightly see-through. I was so disappointed when I went to the scrying workshop and found that gembond looks dull and sad on crystal, but since people on this site are hostile to redos it probably wouldn't work to just update gembond.
I made a quick mock-up for it; nothing fancy but it shows the idea.

Might work for plague dragons, but idk about others (sorry if i'm repeating what other people have said; it's kinda hard to go through 40+ pages lol)

It started out when I realized that, while Circut was a nice tert, there are a lot of dens going for a much more natural feel. It's patterned similarly to the tendrils vines put off to climb and grow, hence the name. Partway through early brainstorming, a friend of mine brought the concept to Undel's attention and she said it would be great if it worked well with Clown, which I tried to achieve, as well as making sure it looked good on its own. So after months of working, though the ups and downs in life slowed me down, I got it done.
It was fun to do, and I'm excited to present it to everyone.[/quote]
