I dreamed up a gene that covered the dragons in a rose vine and thought it was neat enough to turn it into a suggestion. Of course, this is a crudely-drawn version of it that I did fast during work breaks.

If we have a Firefly gene, Branches for Veils and a Blossom for Gaolers, why not have a rose-themed gene as well?
And I also think the vines would look better with a more natural color, like Branches have and only the flowers would have the actual color. You get the idea.

I think I'd like the rose gene as a modern version of branches. So using the same coloration, but like you have it, as a flat pattern. Right now it doesn't seem as versatile. I have definitely been wanting a more decorative tertiary that provides a bit of interest on the blander areas of pri/secs.
