Highlight on the breed traits (Imperial and Pearlcatcher whiskers, Bogsneak pads, Guardian horns, Coatl... circle horn things, Tundra horns, etc) [*] 4. A gentle aura over all Tertiary coloured patches as well as any accessory frills, fur, or feathers (elbow fur, etc) [*] 5. Particles over the auras [/LIST] It sounds complicated like that but it's what I did for the rough pictures above. I believe that it would look nice with current Primary and Secondary genes and not blot out any notable designs nor be too overpowering. Something a bit like a mix between Capsule and Firefly!
Instead of a dragon's chest being filled with liquid it is filled with little bugs. They could be glowing fireflies or cute beetles or something, but I liked the idea of another jar-like tertiary gene. Unfortunately, I couldn't draw this because I don't have any art programs on my computer.

A thin glowing outline around the dragon? Kind of like what the deities have, but in the dragon's tertiary color. This could also work as apparel, but at the very least it'd be kind of fun to also make a gene version for ancients.

It would be neat if ancients received the stained gene

For a dragon with a thin, slim figure, more like banes than gaolers, having mushrooms and more genes like this would add a lot of dimension, which I think is definitely needed with a shadow ancient.
