support for at least removing banned accounts, and I actually do think it would be good for FR to preferentially feature active players- if the random dragon is meant to show off FR to potential new players, I personally would be put off a game who seemingly had so few active players as to feature many inactives in a row- which does currently happen
also support for a way for players who would prefer not to be featured to opt out though
The thing is, most new players wouldn't necessarily know that starving dragons = inactive accounts.
For all they know you don't need to feed your dragons, which you don't. In fact, since it is called 'energy' and not 'food' they wouldn't necessarily even know it has anything to do with food.
In fact, ironically, some might even think those with *full* energy bars are the inactive accounts, and not those with empty.
Gryffs, another site I play, has both food and energy. Food goes down gradually while energy goes up. Someone coming from a site like that, seeing 'energy' and seeing it empty might even think that it meant someone had just done something with that dragon. Then seeing someone with a full energy bar, might think that it hadn't been touched in a while.
I have played other sites as well that had energy and it was *full* energy that tended to indicate inactivity, not empty bars.
So, thinking about it, I don't really think that many truly new players would actually know what accounts were inactive and what accounts were active without knowing something about the site: namely that you feed your dragons and keep their energy bars full.
Anyway, I do support removal of banned accounts, because some of those accounts might have been banned for reasons that the site would NOT want showcased (rather than asking to be banned, which I thought I heard someone say could be done, or banned for being underage or minor things like that)
But no support on removing inactive accounts. There are many easy ways to view active dragons, while there are only really two ways to view inactive dragons, and this would remove one of those two ways.
