It's highly nausea inducing for me too. I tried coli but it.. did not go well. I had no idea that tilting pixels would induce seasickness but there we go!
Absolutely support a toggle to turn off things like this- now and in the future. While this won't last much longer for me as I'm about to head to bed and call it quits, losing a day's play of a fest is really irritating. And for future april fools day, the diversity of the userbase here is such that not having something to opt out of visually disturbing changes seems really unfair.

No support, it will not be done again, and will go away by tomorrow.
It just seems kind of extreme to request an entire feature for something that is only like that for one day, ever for all time.
It's because this 'feature' makes the site literally unusable by some people.
Personally, I loved the rotation - and then I started getting a headache. I tried to Coli anyways, and the headache got worse, and I became nauseous. This is not a problem I've had before.
And if it hurts me that much, when I don't even have a history of problems with graphics, I shudder to think of how badly this hurt others. ?
Additionally, we are in the middle of an Elemental Festival. Which means that people who have to avoid FR for their own health have lost a day of grinding - maybe their only day, depending on their schedule.

I get motion sickness from games regularly .
You know what I do when that starts to happen?
I stop.
peoples health is not for the devs to take care of.
at the end of the day, your job to make sure you are okay, and sometimes that means removing yourself from what is causing you issues.
Its unfortunate there isnt a toggle. But there are coli services by other users. people can use them.
if you're worried about wind fest make a suggestion to extend it by 1 day, thats been done before.

this p much. you can go a day without looking at dragon profiles.

if it were just dragon profiles and lairs, I might be more sympathetic to this idea, but it isn't.
It is the Dragon Lairs.

Probably the most important: The coliseum
As has been pointed out, we are in an elemental festival, though that shouldn't matter, and not everyone can get online every day to grind. Some people probably don't even (or didn't) realize that today was April First. So, if today is one of the few days you have to grind/do stuff on FR and to have it rendered unusuable to you? it would stink.
I am fortunate that I can get online at any time now and any day, but I know a long time ago, when I had dial up, I couldn't tie up our phone with the internet, so I was limited to a couple of hours at night before I went to sleep, for ALL my websites. So, something like this would have been devasting to me, if it rendered the site unusable to me.
A day can be a looong time, especially if you aren't going to be able to get online any time soon. Missing today could mean that someone has to skip this elemental festival because the next time they have free time is Sunday. Maybe today is someone's day off and they had all day to grind, only to not be able to because of the dragons.
As has also been pointed out, we got toggles for *less* distracting/nausea inducing pranks, such as the HD update, so why not this one.
Beyond that, as I have said, in the future I feel a toggle should be considered for all pranks, as not everyone wants to participate in pranks, and again, you never know how much time someone has to be online, nor their schedule, so you can't just say 'it is only a day just skip today' because that day might be a week to someonee else if that is the next time they have free time to get online.

We've had a toggle for every other april fool's prank. There is no excuse not to have one this year, especially when it's making players feel sick or even making the site unusable. I feel awful for all the people who've been unable to play FR all day long. It's really hard to avoid this prank - your own dragons, the coli, even avatars on the forums. It's not fair to tell people to just not play for a day, especially when issues with the dragon rotation is caused by things outside of our control. OCD, motion sickness, ASD, vision issues, etc. - it's just not fair to tell people they need to avoid the site entirely when they can't help having issues with this. I know staff are doing their best, but I just don't understand why we didn't have a toggle this year.

It is also that this is meant to be a prank. A prank isn't a good prank if it causes issues like this one has been and doesn't have a toggle.
I don't remember people getting sick from the HD update, which WAS a prank, and it DID have an update.
The Which Waystone one I don't think was causing a lot of problems (think it was more that it was just annoying at times), and we got a toggle.
So why is this one, which IS causing problems, not allowed a toggle?

"It's only one day!"
Yeah, accessibility is important, no matter the duration of the event. How many times do we have to discuss this.
We got a precedent. I'm satisfied with the answer we got from Aequorin, but people saying that it's "only one day"
What. Why would you disregard people's health concerns?

I can take a guess, it was probably an oversight by devs.
Tbh I thought which waystone deluxe was really annoying and didnt know there was a toggle at all or dont remember there being one.
The HD update was you "turned it on" and they would become msspaint bad art versions of the dragon. but were default if you didn't turn it on.
Devs probably just didnt forsee that players would have issues by images being rotated and flipped.
My no support post, isnt popular but i stand by it.
It should just be an opt-out option for the devs consider for next years April fools.
Edit: it will be around for, roughly, 6 or 7 more hours since my response here was posted and the daily reset happens, we only gotta deal with it for that much longer

There is nothing 'extreme' about requesting a safety feature.
