I'm not sure if this feature is already a thing, because I heard that it was at some point? But whether I can't find it or it doesn't exist, I would like to suggest it anyways.
Maybe we could have an auto battle feature in the coli where you can have your dragons battle for you while in other tabs or windows. Maybe even have it so you can select whether they can use battle items or not so they don't blow through your health potions and tonics. This feature can be turned off and on at any point in the battles, in case they come across a boss battle that the player wants to take care of themselves.
This would really help those who have a busier life style in the community, and it would encourage people to take part in the coli more since it's simplifying the battles for them. I know it seems lazy, but it would help a LOT if we could multitask like this.

No support for a site sanctioned bot, which is what this is.

This would be the game playing itself. The camping catchas were added to deter botting so I doubt they would add what is essentially a site sanctioned bot to the coliseum

I just take the Coli tab into its own window and do it that way. It doesn't count you as in another tab, but you still have to interact with things. Makes it convenient for when I want to change out a movie or whatever and still get Coli things done. Just allows me to click, make attack, click, make attack. Not what you want, but it also prevents the Coli idle from making you refresh the tab (or maybe that's just my browser).

There was a large thread on this topic a while back, and I have to say no support.
Make whatever restrictions you want to make an autobattle more "fair," but no matter what, people will use it. Which is the problem, because it means people won't be playing the Coliseum for themselves.
Leave your computer, phone, or other device on overnight as you sleep and let the Coliseum run. Get dragons up to level 25 without any effort or farm for Eliminates and eggs.
If this feature exists with the camping captcha, then it's not a useful addition, because if you're too busy to play the game on your own time, then autobattle won't work, anyway. You might get 5-10 battles in before getting stopped by the captcha which requires your attention.
Also, Coliseum doesn't run in an inactive tab/window, so it's likely this wouldn't work anyway unless they change that (not sure if that's possible since I have no idea why it's like that in the first place).
One final note, it's 'ciao,' not 'chow' when you're saying goodbye. Sorry, that made me laugh.

I feel like this would end up devaluing most Coli drops, and lead to inflation overall.
Why bother play the game if the game plays itself for you?
Seriously, if you're busy, you have to accept that you won't be as wealthy as people who do spend time grinding. That's how it goes.
Autocoli would kill the site.
No support for a site sanctioned bot, ever. Put in the time to coli or don't but I don't think I've ever encountered a good argument for botting. And no,

does not count. "Play the game for me" is not simplifying battles, it's removing them. Either play the game, pay a leveling/grinding service, or buy on the AH. Unless botted battles drop no items AND no exp, I don't believe that there's a good way to balance them, and in that case you've just invented a slow way to reroll packs of enemies you don't like.

No. I am not going to support a suggestion that boils down to ‘just give me loads of valuable stuff pls’.

Nah.
Listen, I hate coli. I avoid it except for NOTN, fests, when my Pinkerlocke makes me do it, and occasionally outside of that when I need a little extra money. I used to be one of those people who could coli for hours but I burned out, and am like o.O at my old self and the people who can still push 3k+ levels a week, consistently.
However, I also really hate inflation, and unfortunately I see a sanctioned bot as making that even worse because now people can make even more money for nothing. G&G was bad enough - people can literally make 75kt in 14 minutes, and after G&G was introduced inflation started to JUMP. I saw the t:g ratio hike from 1:850 to 1:1300 and even with Roundsey it ain't coming down anytime soon. If anything I expect it's going to get worse next time Wildclaw scrolls cycle in. We do not need treasure to be even easier to earn. Even if you had a bot that doesn't level and just grinds, that's still stacks of food, stacks of hoardsell crap, battlestones, eggs, all of that adds up. So I can't support this, even though I hate coli. This would break the site.
If you want to make a decent amount of money for very low effort in a way that is friendly towards busy people, may I suggest my buddy Baldwin.
