No support this would make bonding more annoying then it already is as now if you happen to have an extra even if it's been equipped it would show up as a bonding option.
TOPIC | Let dragons equip the same familiar type

I support this. I just had a really cool lore idea for my clan, but it would be hard to implement without a feature like this. I wouldn't mind only bonding with each type of familiar once.

@Doglover287915 That's why I and others have thought that a good option for that reason (as well as others) would be to, if this were implemented, add a dropdown on the change familiar page along the lines of 'Currently paired with a dragon in your lair?' (Yes/No) with the default being No, so the default thing would be that nothing changes for us veterans- you could just switch it to Yes to make familiars already equipped to other dragons available to be equipped to another one, should that be someone's desire.

Support, but only if you could bond with one Familiar a day if you have multiples attached to other dragons, like it is with Fiona. Otherwise, people could burn through bonding with their Familiars and shave days or even weeks off the time it takes to Awaken them (I have 8+ each of most of this last NotN's Familiars for example). Restricting it to only Familiars you've already Awoken would work too, even if you'd be allowed to bond with however many you have, since 50T isn't really that much of an income, even for lairs with maxed slots.

@Elai Yeah, definitely agreed! That's how it works now, really, so to eliminate confusion all they'd probably have to do is change the wording to 'you have already bonded with this KIND of familiar today' to nix any confusion from a new player with two Rosaline Stranglers equipped on two dragons being like 'but I bonded with just one strangler but it says I bonded with the other one too?'

I support this as long as you can't interact with the familiar more than once since that could be exceedingly broken. I would love to have a reason to keep more than one familiar of each type.

My thoughts exactly, you'd be able to Awaken a familiar in just days if that was the case.

Support only if you can't like bond with the familiar type more than once
Because that would make awakening way to easy

Oh, this could be fun. I agree with the others that we definitely need to keep the current "Can only bond with this familiar type once" rule, as well as having this off by default. And in addition, I think if you do turn on (through whatever method) "Allow equipping of more than one familiar of the same type", then it should give an indicator within the familiar selection of which ones are already in use. So like, if it's on a dragon, then maybe the icon is a little paler. So you can easily sort through, even if you have View All on. Or maybe the heart on the icon is grey or gold or something. There's options.

As long as you can still only bond once per day, absolutely, this is a great idea. You can already filter familiars in the equip menu by "already bonded/not bonded" so it doesn't actually make finding a non-bonded familiar any harder, and there's no good reason why you shouldn't be able to equip every dragon with your favorite familiar if you want to.
