If we ban "Unnammed" people will just use other extra letters, that the Unnammed people will eventually dislike, and we'll be right back here discussing that name.
Some players genuinely want to use "Unnammed" for their dragons. Some are just doing their own thing. I once named a dragon either "Unnammed" or "Unamed" as a test, because I saw players talking about it in the forums and at the time did not know that we couldn't name a dragon "Unnamed". I didn't do it to spite anybody. I was new, and fiddling around with the naming system.
Someone renaming their new dragon to "Unnammed" or whatever other variation isn't spite naming unless that player knew you disliked it, and they did it on purpose to annoy you.

Assuming anything you don't like is harassment isn't a good way to go.

I mean, sometimes it's really obvious. After posting on a thread that "if you don't like unnamed dragons in your offspring list then name them" and "it is rude to exalt unnamed," someone bought a named hatchling from me for 12kt, proceeded to rename it "ocTOEber" and exalt it (still a hatchling). So they lost about 15kt on this whole thing. I wouldn't have minded if someone just decided to do that on a lark, except that it was obvious spite after my participation in that thread, so not to be encouraged.
The problem is that Unnammed specifically is very often used to harass. We can only assume that Corvid (a misspelling of Covid) is banned for the same reason. So based on Corvid, I'm gonna have to say support. Because it makes way more sense to me than banning Corvid. And Corvid has way more uses beyond harassment than Unnammed.
There are too many ways to get an Unnamed dragon if that's what someone wants. Hatch it, buy it. Honestly, there are probably millions of them.

I mean yeah but I wasn't talking about obvious harassment. I was talking about "just assume anyone who sells a dragon has the exact same opinion as me of unnamed dragons", because that's not really a good attitude to take imo. If you take that into everything then that's just asking for a lot of bad assumptions, hurt feelings, and the like.
If people are obviously using Unammmed to harass, they should be blocked so they can't buy more of your dragons, and reported so the names can be reverted. The name doesn't have to be taken away from everyone. I don't agree with banning Corvid due to covid19, but tbh I stopped using Instagram partially because the corvid tag got flooded with covid stuff and people had to start using #corvidnotcovid for actual crows because people are so bad at knowing the difference. iirc staff said the ban on Corvid was temporary anyway.
You can get unnamed a lot of ways, but you can't train them. If someone is like me and wants all their dragons at level 25, they have to use something like Unammmed to be able to get that dragon in the coli. Or... just off their unnamed fodder list.

And this is what was said in response to Corvid being banned:
Unfortunately there's a percentage of our community who chose corvid as a way to get around our name ban of covid. It quickly became clear that they planned to use this word liberally in order to create dragons to troll our community
I think that all of those things can be said of unnammed.
Like it was said earlier in the thread, if you broadcast that you don't like to have your dragons exalted unnamed (which the user who made this thread does), then that makes them a target for just this type of harassment, and this name is used specifically to harass them and people like them who don't like Unnamed dragons in their dragons' offspring lists.
Unfortunately, though, if it is used as harassment, then often the dragon is renamed and exalted before the person gets a chance to see who purchased the dragon, so blocking isn't even an option because there's no transparency on who purchased your dragons from the AH.

No support, we've already got way too long a list of names banned for quite honestly stupid reasons, see above on Corvid, which is simply the family of birds related to crows and ravens and such. Added to that, a lot of us use misspelling of unnamed to get around the coli issue of being unable to train them otherwise. I've got a lore project spelled unamed to get around that.
If you've got actual evidence that they're harassing you with it, such as them only naming dragons they bought from you that, then just report them. If they name or rename every exaltee that though, then its probably not harassment, just someone's preferred go to exalt name.

#UnnamedIsValid
Unnamed dragons need love too! There is no shame in having unnamed permas, having dragons with unnamed parents and/or offspring, or exalting unnamed dragons! Leaving dragons unnamed is a perfectly valid playstyle!
she/her or they/them
Even if you can't block them you can still report them, staff can see who bought the dragon and rename it/action the user.
Unnammmed is not purely used for harassment, nor is Corvid, and I don't think either should be banned as names. There are plenty of valid uses for both and personally I see those uses way more than the harassment uses. You can harass anyone with any name they don't like, not just Unammmed. If a bunch of people didn't like the name Sky (first thing I thought of) then it'd be harassment if I named all their dragons Sky and exalted them, but we're not gonna ban Sky.

It doesn't actually appear to be anybody's go-to exalt name, now that you mention it. Fifteen dragons have been exalted with that name. And only one active dragon has the name, too. This is assuming that dragons with these names aren't being reverted all the time.
If the staff's spending a lot of time reverting these? Then heck yes. Ban it. But there's no way for us to know that.
So, I don't know, maybe it's not even worth it.

It's Unnarned that is actually used a lot. 273 exalted dragons with this name. 17 active dragons. There's 1 and 3 dragons with the other names used here.
So, no, the odds you're seeing those way more than the harassment cases seems really unlikely.

I don't know how it's unlikely that I see with my eyes something more often than something else lol. Does it definitely happen more often? I don't know. Do I see it more often? Yeah. That's not something that can be argued. 273 is really few though in the grand scheme of things.
...tbh I don't even really understand what's being argued here.

No support. Yes, ‘Unnammed’ and other variations might be used to harass more than other names, but there’s a huge difference between ‘Unnammed’ and ‘Chernobyl’. One is much much more likely to be used to attack someone based on real life experiences/trauma/etc, the other is a petty move against someone based on something they don’t like in a pixel dragon game. Both can be used casually/innocently, yes, but the only ‘damage’ Unnammed does is irritate someone until it is changed, assuming it is a spite naming at all. A small price to pay to keep a name with pretty much no negative IRL connotations free for people to use.

About the only way is be okay with banning variations on Unnamed is if Unnamed dragons were allowed to train in the coliseum. Some players use those variations to take ‘Unnamed’ dragons in the coliseum. Nameless and Unknown don’t have the same aesthetic as Unnamed so players who want Unnamed dragons do use names like Umamed, Unnarned, Unnammed etc to keep the aesthetic but allow for training
In general I am not a fan of banning names unless they are truely offensive/objectionable , I’d much rather the issue behind them be addressed rather than banning a perfectly reasonable name (Like Corvid) be banned.
