I just want to point out that bumping a topic isn't allowed in the suggestions forum.
I think queue could be made to work. As I said, if it took longer than normal to brew, then it would still encourage people to do it one by one.
Needing to manually add each item to the pot would defeat the purpose of a queue, which would be to allow players to go a little longer without having to check in (such as when they are sleeping or at work)
Yes, part of the mechanic is to draw players in every 30 minutes, but, to me, that can sometimes drive people away. I don't do baldwins because I keep forgetting, even with the notifications, so I just don't bother. If I could stick 12 items in and come back X hours later, then I would.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't be active elsewhere on site, I might be in the coliseum for part of that time, I might be refreshing on the forums, or I might be looking for dragons to buy etc... It would just mean one less stress would be present
There could even be a fee present for it. Say 1000 for each item you 'queue' so it would be 12K for 12 items.
The other drawbacks would be that you wouldn't be able to use that cauldron for anything else until the time was up, so if you put it for the maximum time, you have just tied up your cauldron for that time period.
You also would only be able to queue, potentially, stacks, so you couldn't queue familiars or apparel, and you couldn't queue some food, then toss a familiar or two in there, and then do trinkets for the rest of the slots, It would have to be all food or all trinkets. (you might even be able to queue familiars and apparel, but since they don't stack that might be a bit harder to do)
So, it would have an impact on the transmutation materials market, but that has issues anyway, and those issues can be helped by simply creating more, desireable, brews that use excess materials. It could also be helped by making the queue the less desireable method of doing it, if you have time to come back every 30 minutes to do so. Making it a small treasure sink to do so could also be a good idea, because you likely wouldn't get your money back from other players if you had to pay to transmute things.
