So, your argument is based not in enjoyment of all players, but your only interest is in the g1 market and those invested in it?
Dragon-flippers will have yet more tools at their disposal if this idea goes through. I can't imagine them being unhappy about it if their passion is dragon-flipping.
Furthermore, making more kinds of dragons more accessible to more players (without taking the challenge out completely) benefits a lot more players than those purely in the g1 market. Decreasing the monetary value of a, say, male Shadow primal g1 dragon with matchy colors makes it more accessible to players who would really like that dragon. A lot of players see dragons they like, but don't have the dragoncash to even begin to go for it. On Dragon Share, so many times you'll see people say things like "I love it, but I could never afford it." Why should dragons like that be only for an exclusive club of dragon traders?
Besides, there are other avenues in which one can earn dragoncash. There's brewing, gem trading, collecting fest items and letting them appreciate in value, writing stories, drawing, making UMA's (user-made accents), hatcheries, dragon-flipping (as you pointed out), to name a few.
As I said, the market will take care of itself. The proposed items are designed to increase overall user enjoyment of FR, and I believe it is in line with FR's truest and purest goals. The FR staff is always concerned with user enjoyment. Having dragons so far out of reach that they can never be obtained is harmful to that goal.

Appologies; I only just saw your posts.
As has been stated, it's not like I'm proposing we do away with all random aspects, nor am I even proposing a color-picker. I'm proposing items which are only feasible for use on dragons who already beat the odds. Respectfully, I believe you are over-estimating the affect this would have.
As a reminder, we are talking about moving 1 color up or down per item, and even then, it is limited to being primary, secondary, or tertiary. It makes a big (positive) emotional difference, especially for casual players but not a big gameplay difference. It would hardly "make your goal
easy to accomplish." In some cases, it just makes it
possible. In all others, it only makes it easi
er, but by no means "easy."
