Really would be cool to have messages and profile comments in cyrillic (and maybe arabic if possible) here, it's tough for non-english speakers. i agree that there could be a problem with the non-english moderation, but there are plenty of languages that people can speak with a latin alphabet already and those have the same complications with moderations so it's unfair to not have support for those languages as well.

Definitely support 100%.
As others have already said, harassment of other users in non-English languages is already possible since other languages use the Latin alphabet. That means the "we-can't-have-other-languages-because-then-harassment-would-increase" argument doesn't make sense since this potential problem already exists.
We can already use languages with different alphabets (e.g. Chinese, Russian, Japanese) in profile comments, dragon bios, and CR messages. Do these functions have less potential for harassment than PMs? To me, it seems that the "risk" for harassment would be the same, at least for profile comments and PMs anyway.
Furthermore, if harassment WAS a problem, Google translate or a myriad of other online sources can translate text from another language quickly. Is it 100% accurate? Of course not, but you can get the general gist of things, and it's improving all the time.
Just because we can suddenly use non-Latin languages won't mean that there would be a surge in harassment. Tbh it doesn't make sense to insult someone in a language they don't understand because... well... they don't understand. If you want to actually harass someone, it would make much more sense to do it in a language they understand; therefore, I don't think adding more languages adds to the rate of harassment.
Most non-English speakers just want to be able to have private chats with others in their native language. Adding the ability to use another language isn't going to instantly make a ton of people suddenly want to harass others. Rude people will always be rude no matter what language they use, and your average player isn't going to suddenly go harass someone just because they can do it in a different language. (Which, technically, users can already do in non-English languages that use the Latin alphabet).
Forums should stay in English for easy moderation (until they can get more other language speakers on the team), but I see no reason why non-Latin languages shouldn't be allowed in PMs.

I completely support this, also I thought that PMs were only looked at if you report an issue? Perhaps I misunderstood but I always thought they were a private thing, for a reason, they aren't really moderated.. Maybe if a dispute occurs in another language, have the reporter include english translations if they are reporting a PM.
Also, I think that support for people that don't speak english as a first language should be a priority over any potential harassment in another language.

Yes, please! I want to be able to write in Hebrew with my friends. I can see harassment maybe being an issue, but honestly that exists with only Latin alphabets too. I think FR should prioritize people who are bilingual or who want to speak in their first language in this circumstance.

Support! I don't see why the coding would support non-english characters on some parts of the site and not others, though it certainly should show all languages and characters!
I second this! FR has a wonderful international community and it seems like it shouldn't be too hard to get alphabets that already work on parts of the site to also work on the rest of it.
full support. as everyone has already pointed out, it is incredibly alienating to not be able to speak your own language in a private chat. bringing this system up-to-date with other aspects of the recoded site, like the crossroads, would be a great feature for many international/ multilingual people.
hopefully the PM system gets a rework at some point- it's barely changed at all since 2013 and it really needs it! [emoji=guardian sad size=1]

harrassment happens no matter the language used, and i dont like how a lot of ppl r brushing other accessible languages off under the guise of “hard to monitor”, especially if you yourself are white and/or english-speaking and/or american.
