I'm supporting this. Though I've learned English and I like studying,
dear English native speakers, world doesn't need to try to understand your every word,
as long as FR also needs world and international users! [emoji=rainbow]

iseonme #Discord just in case.
If you need my response asap, let me know through it.
Support. I'm a native English speaker myself, but I'm always happy to lend a hand if someone else feels more comfortable with speaking another language.

Please click these little guys, it takes way too long to hatch them.
100% support this. A website not having full support of all writing systems in 2019 is honestly shocking to me.
I find the concern over harassment being a reason to effectively ban an entire host of languages ridiculous. Like others have said, people can just use Latin script romanization to harass in said language. They can also harass in English, and in ROT13, and in text speak. Harassment is always going to be an issue on a website and you don't try to deal with it by saying "[this population of the user base] cannot use their native language in communication ever." That's just lazy moderation and incredibly othering of those users who don't speak English as a first language.

Support, I can see this being very helpful for the ESL community.

BIG SUPPORT! It does this for Russian also which annoys me greatly. XC Like I can write in Bios and on my page in Russian but not in Forum or PM. I can transliterate into Latin letters, but its hard tbh. :/

They could either add the ability to use non-English writing to PMS...
... or take it out of the site entirely, removing that functionality from areas of the site that currently have it.
I don't mind which, but it would be nice if everything was on level ground.

Well I hope they don't remove it. I write a lot of my Dragon bios in Russian. This would turn all my dragon bios into "???" :/

No support for moderation purposes.
Stuff sent to other players on an english-speaking site, with english-speaking staff and moderators, can only sanely be in english. Stuff for yourself - bios, profiles etc - should and can be in other languages.
It's nothing unusual either - french sites expect you to speak french, etc etc.

what are they gonna do with people that can send non-english pms with the latin alphabet then? gonna ban every single word that isnt english? moderate every pm sent so if any non english message passes it'll be deleted? giving languages with different alphabets a pass isnt gonna change much, because I doubt staff understands what my portuguese pms even mean and im not gonna stop speaking portuguese on them
