No support. This would break a lot of apparel which would need to be redrawn, and it would be a ton of work for the artists as they already have enough on their plates.
Whoops, misread this! Let's try again.

Yeah it would be, but they would be making apparel already. They could just make one piece whenever they have time or feel like it. They don't have to bring out every single dragon characteristic apparel at one time, but say next week imperial horns, then two months later, coatl head feathers, then maybe if they are inspired, ridgeback noses soon after.
yeah, it would be frustrating to wait for your favorite characteristic, but they could maybe set up a poll somewhere asking people what the next piece they would like to see it.
The sheer amount of work is what made me somewhat hesitant to suggest it, but with a reduced color palette, meaning no shades, and no genes that reduced the amount of work, and once they have the first piece of apparel done, other colors should be fairly simple to do.
Thanks for your thoughts though :) I have the same reservations as well, I just would LOVE to see this to make hybrids or just different looking dragons :)

As for everyone else who supported :) Thank you.
Yeah, the possibilities are almost endless once we get enough apparel.

The issue is colors. If they release just a basic, 6 color, non-matching rainbow, people will complain and want colors that match their dragons. If they do only some colors (say, the original 67 when new colors are released), people will want the other colors too. If they try to release all colors, it will take longer for them to color all the pieces and it will add a TON of new items. This will create massive strain on the server as we already have hundreds of items.

I did mention that in the first post about the colors. However, they could release a hand ful of colors: Light and Dark Blue, purple, pink, red, yellow, green, brown, orange. Then White and Black.
Then explain the differences in color as simple mutation.
As for the strain on the servers, they are already releasing new items, so we will end up with that strain anyways. We are already GOING to end up with hundreds/thousands of items of apparel, I would just like some of that apparel to be things like this. As I also said, they don't have to do it all at once, just one piece at a time, and again, unless they hand color each and every piece of apparel, recolors of most of the items shouldn't be that difficult (I used to texture for a single player game, and it was simple to make recolors once you have the base done) or time consuming. It is the initial drawing (as others have said, they would prefer to not have the problems some of the apparel we already have have) that would take the time and resources.

MystriDragon regardless of the apparel released players often ask for different color variations. They already have similar apparel in the form of woolly apparel and feathered wings/tail and these do not get requests for more recolors compared to other apparel items. There are also plenty of characteristics that they could add that don't need many color variations

Yes, but it will still cause an uproar in users. For example, you said you would like light blue and dark blue. People will ask for a lighter/darker version of all the colors. After those exist, people will ask for more colors to cover the range. Although this would be an interesting apparel idea, I do not think that is is feasible currently.

I understand this, but this is a physical part of the dragon. Unless the description says something like, "A fake Ridgeback nose made of wood. This one's blue.", people will want the whole color wheel. Wooly and feathered apparel clearly state that they are not physically part of the dragon.

I'm all for this. It has the potential to be funny and would be great for Nocturne owners.
