Support for positive events, but not negative. Perhaps instead of negative, there could be neutral events that either have no actual effect on gameplay (DragonName attempted to learn how to knit, and it took their clanmates hours to untangle them from the resulting mess!) or a very minimal effect (Some of your clan go on a gathering expedition! After a long, hard day, they return with... ...a small pile of round pebbles.).

I think the neutral events are a pretty cool idea too!

If it were possible, maybe the random events only occur to people who turn off adblock on the site? It's probably not possible to make something like that, but if it were, it'd give a reward to people who are helping to pay for the site to stay up with ads.
