Theme: The Plague Flight
Information to help you get started on your submission:
Flight Information
The plague dragons of the Scarred Wasteland are survivors. They prefer to be as strong an adaptable as the plague they spread. Of all the dragons, plague dragons are the most savage, and celebrate the cycle of life and death by constantly pitting themselves against the other elements. The bones and armor of their enemies are their favored treasures.
Region Information
Like a wound in the center of the world, the Scarred Wasteland continues a campaign of destruction that began in an age where the Plaguebringer only had one enemy: her sister the Gladekeeper. Rot and runaway viruses pulse through the landscape, infecting the terrain as it spreads ever outward in a sick spiral of death and decay.
Reigning Deity
The reigning deity of the Plague Flight is the Plaguebringer, depicted below:
Restrictions:
Entries must be your own creation (Submit your own art. No copyrighted characters). The use of texture is discouraged. Please do not watermark your contest submissions. Entries must be unique and may not be reprints or edits of custom skin items. Winning entries will become an official flight rising skin or accent, and may not be reused or reuploaded as a custom skin at a later date. (this includes edits) Entries that are not selected will still be eligible for being uploaded by the user as a custom skin or accent. Skins or accents that win may be edited to ensure that lines and shadows are still visible, per skin rules.
Skin & Accent Rules & Reminders:
A reminder to read the skin & accent creation rules. All entries must abide by these. The exception and addition to the existing rules is that we are are requiring all holiday contest accents cover a minimum of 5% of the dragon, and a maximum of 50% (this is a change from the custom accent rules, which state an accent may be 1%-30% - this rule still holds true for all non-contest accents.) Accents are recommended to be markings rather than apparel, which is provided through the festive favors shop. Here some additional reminders for skin rules:
- Skins must maintain an intact shadow and line art layer that are darker than the colors they sit on top of.
- Do not erase into either of these layers.
- Do not make them so light that they do not appear distinctly darker than the colors that they rest on top of.
- Remember that skins and accents may not cover up line art or extend beyond the silhouette of the dragon.
- All submissions must be 350x350 png24 with transparency. Large previews are fine, but we need the correctly sized image for judging.
- Gore - We do not allow skin designs that depict creatures that appear to be suffering from wounds and/or designs that contain gore, or disturbing body horror. Healed scars and blood spatter are generally okay. Undead dragons may allow for some wounds. Generally speaking an undead dragon will not actively bleed, have fresh looking wounds, or be allowed to have discernable organs and viscera. The extremity of these wounds and what is and is not considered undead are approved on a case-by-case basis.
