They prefer the allure of the unknown and the mysterious nature of the magical energies that bind the universe together. Of all the dragons, arcane dragons are the most curious, pursuing their theories and their dragons, often oblivious to the effects that their dogged pursuits may have on the world around them. Meteors and runestones are their favored treasure. [center][size=4][b]Region Information[/b][/size][/center] The Starfall Isles, once low rolling plains and small islands lined with glimmering shores, were transformed into a skyline of crystalline peaks and listlessly rotating earth streaked in bolts of pure magic. The Arcanist spends his time within the candlelit halls of Observatory at Focal Point, cataloging the stars in wax-laden archives and scrying runes to enchant the very world around him. No copyrighted characters). The use of texture is discouraged. Please do not watermark your contest submissions. [b]Entries must be unique and may not be reprints or edits of custom skin items.[/b] Winning entries will become an official flight rising skin or accent, and may not be reused or reuploaded as a custom skin at a later date. (this includes edits) Entries that are not selected will still be eligible for being uploaded by the user as a custom skin or accent. [br][br] ------ [br][br] [center][size=5][b]Skin & Accent Rules & Reminders:[/b][/size][/center] A reminder to read the [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=skins]skin & accent creation rules[/url]. All entries must abide by these. [b]The exception and addition to the existing rules is that we are are requiring all [i]holiday contest accents[/i] cover a minimum of 5% of the dragon, and a maximum of 50%[/b] (this is a change from the custom accent rules, which state an accent may be 1%-30% - this rule still holds true for all non-contest accents.) Accents are recommended to be markings rather than apparel, which is provided through the festive favors shop. Here some additional reminders for skin rules: [LIST] [*]Skins must maintain an intact shadow and line art layer that are darker than the colors they sit on top of. [LIST][*]Do not erase into either of these layers. [*]Do not make them so light that they do not appear distinctly darker than the colors that they rest on top of.[/LIST] [*]Remember that skins and accents may not cover up line art or extend beyond the silhouette of the dragon. [*]All submissions must be 350x350 png24 with transparency. Large previews are fine, but we need the correctly sized image for judging. Use these templates (and helpful tutorials) to assist you in creating your homage to the Light Flight. To enter,[b] post a reply containing your entry[/b] in this thread. You [b]may enter up to 3 times[/b] Two entries may be dragon skins, while a third may be a hatchling skin. Please edit your original post and house your entries within the same reply to keep things tidy. Please [b]no post reservations[/b] (posting a claim slot without an entry. Reserve posts without an entry inside will be deleted.) This year's cycle will have up to [b]18 dragon skin winners[/b] and up to [b]2 hatchling skin winners[/b].
