Inspiration: The Rafflesia flower - better known as a Corpse Flower. It's the largest flower in the world - and it's parasitic (Not to humans, thank god. To trees mostly.). They can grow to be as big as a human child. Let's also say that it's not called the Corpse Flower for nothing - you wouldn't want to stick your nose too close to it (:
