As the two dragons went under the gate, they looked up to see chains crossing the mountains. There were four gates; the only escape. "The Homecoming often hires young dragons, and they can be... Well, they're not the brightest." There was a ledge that descended down to the city. There was one building that was on the cliff.
"There," said Mirage. "That's the Homecoming. Let's go!" She said excitedly at the end of the sentence.
Mirage and Gravity entered the building.

That looked... ominous. Gravity would love to test if he could still leave by his emergency method if possible, but now was not the time. He hastened his steps to follow the excited Mirage, "... Where do the young dragons hired usually come from? Do you know?"

He looked around once more.
"This place is... impressive. Who built it?"
“The Guard is in charge of everything— from basic guards like those two to our Island Defense. So the two dragons were hired by the Guard.”
“The first mayor of Rising Island, which was a hundred years ago, made the Homecoming to welcome all new dragons whether they were visitors or moving permanently.”
When they entered the building, dragons hurried around. Mirage and Gravity walked through the busy crowd to a room that had a sign saying “WELCOME NEW DRAGONS”.

“The Guard… huh. Fascinating,” Gravity made a mental note to himself, and then continued asking, “Is this settlement more of a trading post, or a clan?”
The stern and gloomy expression on his face made it possible that there was something on his mind that he was potentially planning. To think of, the guardian’s arrival and his initial confusion could be a little strange for someone that came here to live here… could this massive creature of barely suppressed intimidation truly be the one that was rumored to arrive?
