“Nothing that should make him confused like that. He’s not concussed, or drugged, as far as I can tell he’s fully aware of his surroundings, not hallucinating or delusional.” They shrugged a little, at a loss. “His memory seems intact, too. I couldn’t sense anything that should cause confusion like that.”

"No magical maladies, then? That's...really strange," Leonis frowned. "Should I get my husband, do you think?"

“Nothing that I could find,” they said, shaking their head. “I think that would be a good idea. If there’s something wrong that I can’t pick up on, he’ll be able to find it.”

"Alright," he nodded. "Thank you."
Leonis went back over to Rowan, giving him another smile through his confusion. "The medic didn't find anything wrong with you, which is great! I'm just going to grab the Archmage real quick to get a second opinion. If anyone can figure out what happened, it's him."

The medic nodded, and, after giving Rowan one more somewhat confused look, went back to work.
Rowan looked up at him, completely unable to mask his own confusion. “Okay. I… will he be able to figure out how to get me home again?”

"I can't make any promises but...if anyone can, it's him." Leonis patted his head. "Sit tight, alright? I'm going to go grab him."

“… Okay.” Rowan sighed a little, hugging himself. He had to be able to get home. He had to.

(vissé is Imminent!!!)
Leonis gave him one last smile before leaving.
He knew the way to his husband's office by heart and could walk it backwards with his eyes closed. So it wasn't long before he invited himself inside, smiling at his husband as he perched on his table.
"Leo," Viscerion sighed, letting the redhead steal one of his hands. "What are you doing here?"
"Hello to you too, love," Leonis laughed, pressing a kiss to the plain silver wedding band on Viscerion's hand. "I have someone you should probably see."
"Oh?"
"Yeah," he nodded. "I came across the poor guy on my run. He seems really confused, but the medic said that there wasn't anything wrong with him. Vissé, he thinks he's been to space."
"No one goes to space without the specific invite of a god," Viscerion frowned. "And even that's very rare. Is he sure? Is he contracted?"
Leonis grimaced. "I doubt it, considering how baffled he seemed to be at the existence of magic."
"...what?"
"Yeah."
"I...suppose I can spare some time, then." Viscerion set his pen down and stood, sighing a little as Leonis immediately tugged him down to chastely kiss him. "Lead the way."
Leonis hopped off the table and did just that, holding his hand until they'd reached the doorway and then letting go. He'd have loved to hold it for longer, but Vissé didn't like that, so he wouldn't. "I'll fill you in on the way."
"Thank you, Leo."

(:0 there he is!!! the legend himself)
While Leonis was gone retrieving the Archmage, Rowan had more or less retreated back into his thoughts, trying to piece together what he knew about the situation and if there was any logical explanation for it at all.
Nothing was coming to mind, which meant… which meant that either he had had a psychotic break, or that everything he had been told so far was true.
Neither option sat well with him.

(there he is!!!
here he comes)
Leonis knocked on the wall and poked his head in, smiling cheerfully at Rowan. "Got him! This is Archmage Talovaire, don't be shy to say hello!" He stepped inside, making room for Viscerion to stand beside him.
The Archmage filled that space quickly enough, glancing down at where Rowan was sitting. "This is him, Leo?"
"Yep!"
