Alrighty! As you know, there's obviously a war going on. The Sun Flared attacked a Moon Raised fortress in the beginning. During this attack Prince Luxar was almost assassinated (and very chill about it oddly enough), only for this attempt to be foiled by his personal assistant. The three of them were almost caught by Prince Solvix and some of his soldiers, but they managed to escape into an underground cave of sorts. Prince Solvix is like, "Aw rats." He's THOROUGHLY upset.
At some point during this almost-capturing, Tian-Shi throws either a tree or a giant rock into the side of the fortress while in her snake form. Solvix was like "?????" and went to investigate off where that had come from after he lost the aforementioned three. He found Tian-Shi who was now back in her regular formed and claimed to be a traveling healer, and recruited her to be a healer among the Solar Flared ranks. The two of them travel back to a little Solar Flared encampment where Tian-Shi's identity was revealed. Solvix was cool about it though.
Back in the underground cave Luxar is like, "Can't we just hide here forever?" And Circe and Nembus, who had almost been captured with him, both reasonably said, "NO????" So Nembus is eventually sent out to (iirc) go find a better place for them to hide while the other two sort of mill about. This happens at the same time Tian-Shi's identity is revealed, and her and Solvix are making plans to try to find Luxar again.
Tian-Shi and Solvix head back to the fortress and encounter Nembus. They get into an altercation which is where we're at currently.
As for the other characters: Civintici, Solvix's personal messenger, is back at Solvix's castle. He goes out to run errands for a bit, where he runs into General Aiden, an old acquaintance of his. (She was a former Sun Flared, but was injured in battle and thus discharged. The person who was playing her has since dropped out of the rp, but I mention Aiden because she's relevant.) They talk a bit, and Civin delivers a letter that Aiden should have received months ago. Inside is some discharge paperwork along with the compensation she was meant to receive. Civin explains that he couldn't find her after she'd been discharged, hence the letter not being delivered until then. It's all quite sad, and Civin leaves the shop thinking, "Hmm do I actually like this job."
He eventually returns to the castle, has a deeply uncomfortable flashback moment because he saw one of his scars again in a mirror. Then after about twenty minutes he emerges from his room down in the servant's quarters and is like, "Haha that was concerning! ... Time to knead some bread dough I guess!!" That brings us to the present.
Off in the woods somewhere Dr. Rigel Antares and his crew of nurses encountered August along their travels. Rigel and August have chatted a little bit, but haven't properly exchanged names or anything like that really. It's been more of a, "Hey, who are you?"
"Oh, these are me and my nurses. We're just trying to find a place to rest for the evening."
Then Rigel coughed up blood, so August was reasonably like, "Please come inside because what." That also brings us to the (very recent) present.
Meanwhile, Betelgeuse and Beta Cygni had traveled to the fortress the fight is happening in, but had decided to leave because of the fight happening among other reasons that I can't recall atm. Betelgeuse had cried a bit when the two arrived, and was comforted by Cygni.
And that's that!! There's a couple other characters I didn't mention, but that's because they either haven't been mentioned in character for a hot minute or whoever was playing them dropped out. I think I got everything important, but if anyone else would like to add on/correct anything please feel free to!! (Also, please ignore any spelling errors, haha.
