Wallace
While still being nervous, Wally listened closely to Kitter, gripping the edges of his seat and leaning back as far as he could. No matter what, he wouldn't close his eyes. Even if something was coming directly towards him, he would keep them open.
This wasn't a roller coaster; it was a pod meant to transport them through space. He wanted to look back on this moment without regretting shutting his eyes.
His interest was further piqued by Kitter's answer, with him claiming not to remember the first time he took off into space with PET. He smiled warmly to himself, finding comfort in thinking about Kitter and PET's bond.
I wonder exactly how long they've known each other? They must be REALLY close friends. Practically siblings, even. I dunno what it's like to have a brother or sister.
As soon as the pod began to float, his eyes widened, and he forced out a laugh. "Whoa," he squeaked out, his legs filled with an odd sensation as PET rose higher into the sky.
He squeezed the edges of his seat tighter, continuing to look straight ahead even as his stomach sank. The houses were getting farther away, and so were the woods. Everything down below was farther away now.
"Woo hoo!!" he cheered, shedding some of his nervousness in the process. He would have held his arms up in the air if he wasn't taking Kitter's advice about holding onto something during takeoff seriously.
