Aurum was good with weapons. It happened to be one of the only things be was good at, though his skill with weaponry was enough for him, as he knew the skill was useful which made up for his lack of anything else. And yet the second he had taken the dagger out the stranger had easily ripped it out of his hands as if it was nothing.
Aurum sat there, stunned into silence, though his brain was still whirring with thoughts.
The amount of thoughts flooding through his head only increased at the strangers next words. How had they met his mother? He held his head, slumping into a corner of the room as the stranger left, the thought of leaving disapearing from his head as he tried to contomplate the new information he was given. One thing was certain however. Their was something wrong with the stranger. Something almost inhuman.

For about an hour, Questionable scanned the sight of the place he had fallen from, watching from the surrounding rooftops. Using his six eyes, he could see things that no human could. When he was satisfied, he flew back to the room where he had left Aurum. Opening the door quietly, he stepped inside.
"We were lucky. If you noticed me falling, chances are someone else could've, but fortunately for you, nobody did. At least, I think no one did. I'm not worried about this for me, I'm worried about this for you. I alone could fight off twenty men, however, when I have you to worry about I cannot do nearly as well. If someone did see us, I might have to abandon you and leave you to their mercy. Not like I care, that is."

Aurum was pacing the room. Even with an entire hours of thought he couldn’t find an explanation to any of his questions. So he did what he always did when faced with problems such as this. He moved them to the back of his brain until he could figure them out.
When the door opened, he found himself snapping his head towards the intruder, a hand already reaching into his satchel though quickly relaxing when he realized who it was. Though he knew they were a definite threat, they hadn’t tried to kill him yet despite his own attempt to attack them, making them at least somewhat safe to be around. At least-for now.
“So your admitting that you fell now? Odd.” He remarked more to himself then to the stranger.
“Also I can fend for myself. I am quite capable with my weapon. Though it’s nice to know that you were thinking of me.” He would give a small grin before continuing “Besides, it’s not like we’re walking into a battlefield here. Other than my father and perhaps a few theives, their isn’t much to worry about here. Other than perhaps the people that work at that prison. Never been their myself though so I would know though. Why are you trying helping me in the first place? I don’t see any personal gain for you in doing this, and I don’t believe theirs anything that I could help you with that you can’t already do.”
(Sorry for the late reply. Notifications aren’t working again. Might be bc I’m on my phone? Idk)

Questionable laughed, how much more naive could you be.
"You've heard of monsters, right? They're big and scary and live outside the city where they can never hurt you? Well, I hate to break it to you, whatever your name was, that not all monsters live outside the city. And not all of them look like beasts, some look like you and I- that's where the dangerous. The threats are much more numerous than you can possibly imagine."

Aurum stared at them for a long second. Could they possibly be hinting what he thought they were? It would make sense now that he thought of it. Falling out of the sky would be nothing if you were like the monsters described in his stories were. It would also explain the stength they carried, and the teeth…
“First off, my name is Aurum, though that doesn’t really matter as you haven’t even bothered to tell me yours. Second, what are you implying when you speak about the monsters as a threat? Every citizen here is already aware of what the monsters might bring in the future, but you talk about them as if you know them first hand..”

Questionable grinned, reveling in Aurum's fear. It was instinct to make for him to make others fear him, and he enjoyed it. However, then he realized what Aurum had just said and his mouth closed, a serious look transforming his face.
"The reason you've probably never seen me is because I've spent a lot of time away from the city. In fact, I've been in the ruins for a very long time, and I've seen the monsters up close. They're far worse than any crime boss or mage, and they deserve to be eradicated, every last one. And there are... reasons why I haven't told you my name. Names hold power, and you may have made a mistake my telling me yours."

Aurum watched the stranger carefully. He was so sure that they were a monster. It explained everything in perfect detail, and yet here they were, denying it, causing him to go back to square one. Unless they were lying and he was right, though that didn’t make sense either. Why would they want monsters killed if they were one themself?
“I’d rather face a monster than my father, but that’s just me I suppose. And it’s not like I could of hidden my name from you. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m pretty popular at the moment so you probably would of heard it eventually whether from me or not. He would say somewhat sarcastically before continuing. “There must be something I can call you. If you don’t come up with something I’ll come up with one for you but be warned, you may not be happy with the name I choose if we go that route. Might aswell just give me one yourself.”
( I’ll Probably post one more thing then Im gonna go to sleep. I’m kinda tired)

Questionable thought to himself for a moment. He thought of a name, not his real one, of course, but one pretty close to it.
"You can call me Quinn, Quinn Wester. You can probably guess that isn't my real name, but it's as close as you're going to get." He pause for a moment before continuing. "I don't suppose you could tell me what you were going to call me," Questionable added sheepishly.

Aurum thought for a moment. He honestly didn’t have any idea for a name, he had just said that so he would get and answer, though he tried to come up with something notheless
“We’ll…hmm..-uh let’s see.. Well Quinn is much better so you don’t have to hear it”
He said quickly, looking a bit awkward.

Questionable smiled, for real this time. Maybe Aurum wasn't half bad after all; he had a sense of humor at least. Questionable was about to make a witty remark back when a sudden banging at the door startled him.
"Stay behind me," He cried, pushing Aurum to the back of the room. He had no doubt he could destroy whoever had found them, but he still worried for Aurum's safety.
(Trying to get a bit of action going. Goodnight.)
