------
Pat stepped out of the Hypnos cabin, the warm sun shining on her face and the odor of the fragrant poppies planted in scruffy rows around the cabin twining around her and clinging to the cloud-colored shirt patterned with stylized copies of the flowers.
With a possibly late lunch on her mind, she meandered down the rows of cabins, not taking much notice of the astounding displays outside. The Demeter cabin’s jungle of plants in all shapes and sizes didn’t catch her eye, nor did the flashes of light behind the torchlit windows of the Hecate cabin. The ‘main twelve’ as she called them, were practically unchanged from the day she’d arrived at camp, and all the minor cabins were still as bright as the day they were built.
She broke into a steady jog as she passed the volleyball area and climbed into the pavilion.
A few other campers were sprinkled throughout the tables, chatting and arm wrestling. A few waved at her, and she waved back at them, but paid little attention to the others besides that. Sitting down at the Hypnos table to wait for her siblings, she looked out over the distant strawberry fields, hoping to head down there later. Instead of the usual bright flecks of red and pink that dotted the bushes and the Satyrs playing music in the bright leaves, she spotted a bronze glare on the horizon. She leaned forwards curiously, before nearly tripping back over the bench.
“Bulls!” She cried out, pointing to the mechanical monsters bearing down on the camp.

CM
Son of Hecate
CM stepped out of the Hecate cabin, his deck of cards in hand. He moved over and leaned on a part of the cabin more shrouded in shadows. CM didn't really care if he came off as weird by the other campers, only if said other campers had money. Even in Camp Half-Blood he was always looking for that opportunity to con a sucker.
He was startled out of his thoughts when he heard someone yell. Immediately CM looked over to the strawberry fields and saw the mechanical bulls charging through the fields. His face momentarily betrayed shock.
Oh sh*t! he thought, ducking back into the shadows.
Nope. Not dealing with this. Just no.

Otto
Son of Cupid
As usual, Otto woke up later than most of the other campers. He lazily rolled out of his bed and slammed hard on the wooden floor. "D@mn," he cursed himself silently. He quickly got dressed in his favourite outfit and did a few warm up excercises to get himself fully woken up, which was easier said than done. Eventually, he made it out of the cabin and went on his way to get something to eat, but just then, he saw the bronze monster bulls charging towards the camp. He immediately turned on his heel and sprinted back to his room.

Leilani Rivera
Daughter of Persephone
Leilani smirked at the flowers that were blooming in her hand, then shot a triumphant look towards the Demeter cabin. They might have had fancy flowers, but she was holding Wolfs-Bane! With no repercussions!! After setting the blue flower down, she straightened up and stared at the horizon, before noticing the very ominous glint of bronze charging over the hill.
She darted inside of her cabin and grabbed her favorite spear, a pretty, silvery, thing that had oleander flowers weaved into it, and bolted towards the hills as the bulls bore down on the camp.

------
Pat disentangled herself from the bench, managing not to crack her head on the table or fall backwards onto the floor. With whatever dregs of adrenaline coursing through her, she raced back to her cabin, not out of panic, but to grab her weapons.
As she tumbled though the doorway, she nearly ran into the several small trickles of Lethe decorating the room or pouring into tiny glass jars. She almost crashed into several of the potted poplar trees scattered through the room on her quest to reach her trunk. Throwing it open and plunging her arm inside, she yanked out the marbled bronze and silver mechanical pencil. Running back outside, she clicked the little button that would normally expel the graphite. Instead of a shiny rod of graphite being pushed out, the pencil expanded into a scythe taller than she was that matched the patterned exterior of the pencil it would morph into.
Knocking over several potted plants, she rushed back outside, praying that she wouldn’t accidentally cut anything in half as she raced towards the strawberry fields.
She could already see another camper running towards the bull, flowering spear in hand.

Son of Hecate
CM snuck in the shadows from cabin to cabin, getting closer to the bull like that. He wasn't going to risk being seen by the bull.

Otto
Son of Cupid
Otto stayed as flat as possible under the bed, hoping with all of his being that the rampaging monsters would not find him. As he was under the bed, his eyes caught the glimmer of his pink crystal bow a few inches from his face. A thought crossed his mind...an almost foreign thought. Should I help them? No, yes, no...ARGH SCREW IT! He then grabbed the bow and rushed to the corner of his room where he kept his quiver of arrows and slung it over his back. With his heart pounding and his mind racing, he rushed towards the hills where the bulls were.

Leilana Rivera
Daughter of Persephone
She glanced over at the other girl who was racing up the hill next to her. She had a large scythe, which made her think of multiple different gods. Who was her godly parent? Hard to say. The bulls were coming closer, worrying her. Could they even fight them off? She did not want to answer that question. She held out her hand for a second, allowing plants to spring around one of the bulls hooves, tripping it.

------
Pat was pretty sure that a mechanical object barreling at her at speeds she couldn’t calculate weren’t going to comply with whatever weak brand of magic she had. What could she do? Did this think have a motor? Or was it like one of those wind-up toys that could really just keep on going until it ran out of steam? Did it have one of those huge car batteries she’d seen one of her aunts lug out of their old car to change or something?
Hoping that she wasn’t about to get squashed into a pancake, she darted off to one side, trying to flank one of the bulls and maybe use her limited range to decapitate it or something. Would it keep running if it was missing a head?
She noticed the other girl stop, and some of the plants started to snake over the bull’s hooves, tripping it. She could deal with that one, so Pat set her sight on the other. She extended the scythe as fas as she could reach and swing it in a deadly arc. Unlucky, she missed the neck and instead got the side of the bull’s snout. There was a horrible clanging sound, like a hundred pans being smacked together as the scythe hit the bull and shaved off one of it’s horns.
So much for a clean shot.
