Kado yawned, boredom seeping into his very bones as he strolled over to where he could hear all of the commotion happening. His cards shuffled around him slowly, rotating around him like the rings around Saturn. It was an unnecessary use of his powers, but he was hopeful that this constant use would help him to expand his energy stores some.
Another yawn caused his jaw to pop, cards shifting instinctively in their movement so that they rotated around his head and blocked the view of his mouth. Lightly glowing blue eyes watered ever so slightly at the stretch, eyes blinking rapidly in order to reduce the liquid gathered. If he didn't find something to entertain himself soon he was going to find a nice shaded spot and just go back to sleep.
Once more his cards fluttered, shifting in their rotations just enough to go slightly oval, enough to avoid the form of Instructor Johnson and once again point him in the direction the Instructor had been coming from. Kado followed numbly, mind now focused on the possibility of eating something to keep him awake just a bit longer. What he saw when he got there was his two younger colleagues(?) duking it out in the center of the sparring court. A slow blink as he noted the other people before moving to one of the other empty courts.
He didn't really care for their little spar, as hand to hand didn't interest him at all. Kado's cards flaring into a thin razor-sharp ring before once again clumping together again, the process repeating itself multiple times. An effort for the cards to shuffle themselves. At the most he would be checking the damage done to one of his ace's during their last fight. It had started to get a bit more dangerous for him as his targets got smarter. He would probably need to lie low for a few days until things calmed down or switch the deck he was using to something with higher defenses.
With minimum thought and effort two cards moved into position and activated their effects. The air around him swirling up into a massive glowing sphere that darkened and solidified with an aura of danger. To anyone that was an enemy or wasn't deemed a friend the creature that slowly stretched out of that sphere would strike fear into their hearts and weaken them.
World Legacy Guardragon Mardark was one of the cards that Kado was the closest to, and was one of the first high ranking monsters that he had summoned when he had the energy for it.
Kado grunted slightly at the drain on his reserves, before turning and examining the summon. Mardark letting out a sound that could be considered a chirp as it nuzzled against the hands currently scratching at the base of its horns. Carefully rubbing at the smooth scales, Kado examined the dragon for any damage from their last fight. There were few new scars, mostly superficial things from where a blade or bullet slid against the tough scales. Only one caused him to give pause as he brushed his fingers carefully over the horizontal line of a bullet that crossed over its top right eye. Damage that was probably caused by an armor piercing round.
Mardark chirped again, pushing its head against its summoners chest hard enough for the man to stumble. Its tail swinging eagerly against the ground as it got more scratches, and whining when the actions stopped. Only starting again when a few other cards activated and dumped a small hoard of cleaning supplies at his feet. Immediately he took to the care of the massive summon, smiling ever so slightly at the happy chirps and roars as he worked.
