Not even she can control the mess that dragonkind has made, much to her delight.” - Unknown[/i] [sup]_________________________________________________________________________________[/sup] It seems dragonkind has made yet another mistake and now the entire world is suffering because of it. Dragons and beastclans have been fighting with the beastclans and each other for so long that new war weapons have been created. The latest and greatest technological advances have now turned into creations of devastation and chaos, specifically bio weapons. The one to bring the land to its knees was a virus created from the toxic substances in the bowels of the Wyrmwound and necromancy magic. A dragon named Lowlen Strifebringer was a scientist who was determined to become closer to the warlords that seethed and conspired behind closed curtains. In his quest for power and recognition he stumbled upon a tragic discovery and threw the world into a festering darkness of death and decay. Nobody knows what happened to the professor or his team, but we can safely say he met a terrible end. If not, well… haha, we have plenty of dragons who would happily wring his neck for him. If only he knew just how much damage he has caused… The Scarred Wastelands of the plague flight has risen to a more devastating size. The calamity of this event has spread beyond the scarred borders and into the other flights. Many clans have fallen, compromised in the wave of death that traveled by air, seas, and animal hosts. Most would expect them to stay there, littering the ground with pulsating and oozing filth, but a majority of these corpses have risen unexpectedly from the dead and are now spreading the disease even further. Pray that they do not find you or your loved ones… I wish you all the best of luck and hope that your death is peaceful and painless. Here is where your journey begins...[/b] [/center] [columns][i]You enter the clearing, surrounded by logs and cut down trees and stones. The grass is pale and sickly, no longer soft and fluffy under your claws but now very clinging and mushy, like wet, over-saturated noodles. It’s an uncomfortable feeling, but that is the least of your worries. You turn your eyes to the tent in front of you. A dragon is inside with barely enough light to illuminate their form. Despite the silhouette, you know your dragons well enough to see she is a ridgeback, and not a happy one at that. The tent is littered with bottles of things you cannot recognize, but they don’t look friendly. The desks are full of papers and other objects needed for survival or communication. Compasses, telescopes, books, ink wells, quills, throwing blades, etc. All things you had a feeling you should not touch without permission. You glance back at the ridgeback as she shifts and turns to look at you momentarily. She grits her teeth in aggravation, bright green eyes landing on the group before curling up and glinting with frustration. She face palms with a groan.[/i] “Oh for the love of-” [i]she quickly catches herself before continuing on with that sentence in the presence of younger dragons. She sighs and turns around to glare at each of you. You can’t decide whether to shrink away or put on a confident face, so you're stuck where you stand and just bow away ever so little, just in case,[/i] “Welcome, cadets, to the land of the living, and as we like to call it, respectively, hell. You’re all rescues and are now here in the Curala campsite, [i]my[/i] campsite…. Now let’s get straight to the point. You are not here to slack off. No. If you want to survive you have to earn your keep and be worthy of living. If you aren’t strong or of use, you are better off dead. Be anything but useful and your life is forfeit. This is chat you are reading now is just the hosting place for the roleplaying ALONE. So this doesn't have all the details you need to know. It just has enough to get you [i]introduced.[/i] That being said, here are the Rules! [font=cursive][size=7][b]~Rules~[/b][/size][/font] 1) All FR guidelines and rules apply, especially rules revolving around gore and violence. 2) It is required that you are subscribed to the roleplay chat and the OOC at least OR that you are on the pinglist so I may contact you without hunting you down! It's hard to know if people have seen the updates and the major events if nobody is talking or telling me they are subscribed. I have had people just drop out suddenly and leave people hanging for weeks, and I don't want that. If you are leaving, you may unsubscribe and say you are leaving. You can always come back at any time! ^^ 3) If you are a more descriptive person and want to include the fancy details when attacking or being hurt, instead of describing bloody, gorey scenes try and use more innocent words like “sticky red paste” or “scarlet stains” or “kool aid”. Be creative but in a way that it isn’t in someone’s face. It can be uncomfortable for some of us and making it too bold and brash can force one to think they have to envision such imagery. So be respectful to the rules and those around us. 4) No drama. If you really want to hash it out, take it to pms. Or better yet! Drop it completely. I do not want to see people starting up or bringing in drama onto this thread. This is not a thread for venting or a place to duke it out with another player. If I find this in the OOC chat I will report and try to have it taken down if I find it necessary. Those who do not comply when I ask them to quit their quarrels I will boot from the roleplay entirely so you cannot participate in it or any events I may throw in. 5) Hate the character, not the player. If the character is rude to your character, that is not an attack against you, it’s just how that aggressive character is built to be. If you feel there is an actual and genuine attack against you and others and you believe that strongly, then I suggest you bring it up to me in pms so I can ask the player to kindly stop or bring it up to someone working with FR to get that fixed for you. 6) Do not be over-powered (OP)! Nobody likes a mary sue! When fighting, remember to take some hits every now and then and remember to miss. Nobody is that perfect in battle or under pressure. And avoid Meta-gaming, which is the act of using information you know but your character wouldn’t know and having your character have that same information. If somebody’s dragon doesn’t give their name in speech but refers to their dragon by their name, your dragon should not know what their name is. If a dragon is being verbally attacked half across the camp from you and they continue to hide they are upset, your dragon should not automatically know they are hurting or who did it to them. Don’t do this. It can get really annoying and it just isn’t fair to others. If you have concerns about your own powers or you feel unfairly out matched by characters repeatedly, you can always talk to me in pms. This goes for both submitting and after submitting processes and other people's characters. If I feel someone is too OP, I will usually let them know and will help them tweak their character so they still get the same joy from roleplaying, but they aren't absolutely dominating everyone and everything they see. But in case I miss something, don't be afraid to say something to me privately and ask for my opinion. Just don't try and gang up on the player in the OOC chat or in a roleplay gang up with characters. To those who are OP or are notified by me or moderators that they are OP, if you do not comply to official requests to tweak your characters or to play fair, there is a chance your character will be removed and you will need to make a new one. We will not tweak you until you no longer recognize your character, but we must ask you tweak your character to fit to the world and the rules better so it's more fair and smooth playing from here. If you repeatedly refuse to play fairly or do not tweak your characters, we can remove you from roleplay entirely and ignore any attempt to interact with others. 7) Kissing and cuddles are fine, ships are fine, but vivid descriptions of 18+ content is not allowed. If you really want to have those kids, please do the fade to black technique or get them a room or something. Let's keep this PG13. Thank you. 8) Fill out the character form and try to be as descriptive as possible if you do not have an image ready. [b]If I do not approve your character or any other forms you have filled out in a day, then go ahead and roleplay without my permission to do so.
