[center][b]The Extinction[/b][/center] [center]Everything happened so fast. All you could remember was the smell of smoke and yelling from the outside of your den. Your parents had told you to stay hidden, and never leave until they returned. So, you waited, and waited. To find them to never return. You'd want to believe it was just a bad dream, but this was entirely real. You finally have enough courage to crawl out of hiding and poke your head out to see what had happened. As you look around, you could see the colony destroyed. The watch towers were burned to a crisp, as well as some of the buildings built there. You could smell blood, yet no signs of bodies. Young, and seemingly alone you slowly emerge from the den, or perhaps you crawled back in the safety of your den. Either way. You knew one thing. [i][b]Your family was never coming back. [/b][/i][/center] [center]World building:[/center] [LIST] [*] You are a Raccina, A raccina is a creature that much resembles to a raccoon, although there are quite a few differences. First off, their fur is much cleaner and softer. It's softer than the finest silks in the world! Second, Their size is much different, as they are about three quarters of the size of an average man's height. Third, Their fur colors vary from reds, browns, and plain old grey. Fourth, They speak in several languages of different creatures. That includes human, their primary language. Fifth, They have webbing on their hands to swim through rivers, since fish is their main source of food. Lastly, they prefer to stand on two feet rather than one. Their tails help with balance. Raccinas live in colonies, to stay safe if there's danger. Much like meerkats or otters. Raccinas vary in fur textures, depending on what activities they do most. Regardless, it's still soft. [*] Predators of these species still lurk everywhere, The colossal Harpy for example wouldn't mind snatching a newborn Raccina when you're distracted. These harpies are huge, as they can range from a wingspan to 16ft. These birds can range in mostly brown colors. They are rarely seen in a red color. These are actually domestic animals, bred to snatch Raccinas and bring them back to their owners. In which, the human will reward them in often food. Wild ones still do exist, so always watch your back. [*] Venus flytraps don't seem that bad right? I mean, they just eat flies.... Well, not exactly. There's been a mutation in these plants that makes them grow in humongous sizes. They'll eat anything that touches it's mouth, and if it can fit in it's mouth. You wouldn't be killed instantly, instead you'd slowly be digested. Thankfully, Raccinas have found a technique to free their own. There's a softer part on the bottom of the plant that you can chew on. When the plant tumbles over, you can rip open the stem and free the other Raccina. Some of these plants are too big to do this trick. So still be caucus.. [*] Pythons are a danger to almost every creature. These snakes can surprise any animal that comes their way. They'll constrict their prey and squeeze the air out of the prey's lungs slowly. Sometimes, they'll even break the bones of it's victim. When the victim blacks out, they'll swallow them whole.... [*] Pinstripe cougars are a species that hunts smaller animals, such as rabbits, deer, Raccinas, and quite possibly wolves. They almost resemble a saber-tooth, although they are much slimmer and have the capability of climbing like a jaguar. Their coat is colored specifically to camouflage in the darkness, as their coats are mostly black with perhaps a few brown specs. These cougars used to have stripes. Over time, they adapted to hunting Raccinas when prey was low during the winter. If you hear a rustle in the bushes, than hope for dear life it isn't a Cougar. They've hunted them to the point of nearly extinction. There are less than 100 left. They'll stop at nothing to catch at least one. [*] Habitat for a raccina mostly consists of rich forest next to a river or creek, this way they can gather fish, as well as fresh water for growing crops. The forest is a useful place to hunt when fishing season is over. Even if they do like fish, they eat much much more. These places are mostly hidden away by hunters too, since the location is located deep in the forest. [*] Berries or fruits in a Raccina's diet consists of: Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, wildberries, mangoes, bananas, Pears, apples, starfruit, cucumbers,tomatoes, watermelon, and pomegranate. Veggies they eat are carrots, potatoes, celery, and Avocado. These are usually grown rather than found. Another note is that they can eat most of the different types of grains. [*] Fanosa. A fox like creature with a sail on their back, and two sets of antenna’s on their heads that they use to sense what’s behind them. But it also explains their moods almost like their tails would. They prefer any place where there is a forest and a lake considering that they are as good on land as well as in water. They can last in the water without coming to the surface for air for at most an hour, and also they can only communicate on land, but they can understand other language from mammal’s, and somewhat of the human language. Their coat colors are the same color ranges with fox’s, however only their species has the rare case of their color’s being a light pink color, or a mix of black and orange. She's very friendly and often gets herself into trouble, like that one time she freed their fish dinner, thinking she could catch it again. Even if her personality is like this, she still can be quiet when she wants to, or when she knows when she's in danger. Sexuality? Riley has one light green eye (Left) and one yellow eye (Right). She’s quite short for her age, standing at 5’5, but that doesn’t set her back much at all.

Personality:
Riley is constantly on her feet and moving around. She’s always trying to find some to build, climb, eat, or play with. She’s quite adventurous and will most likely be gone until sunset, even during these times. She had a very “invincible” mindset like nothing can or will hurt her ever.

Pansexual

Backstory:
Riley grew up as the oldest of 6 siblings, four brother and two sisters do not much attention was ever given to her. She would often go on these adventures to pass the time or just have something to do. Despite her parents telling her to stay inside, she went right after them as soon as they left. A burning twig fell on her legs and singed most of her fur off. A couple of her siblings managed to free her and she scurried back inside. Most of her family was wiped out except one of her brother, but she hasn’t see him since that day so she doesn’t truly know if he is still alive.
