Gordie held up his hands in subtle surrender as he walked past Piers to get to the backseat.

"Sounds good," Leon replied casually, waiting until everyone had their doors shut before putting the truck in reverse and backing out of the driveway. He wasted no time in starting towards Hammerlocke-- probably a little faster than he should've been driving.

Piers raised his eyebrows at that but didn’t comment and hopped in the shotgun seat. He slunk down and put his knees up on the dash, scrolling through his phone on the lowest brightness setting.
Milo watched the scenery change outside, his chin resting on the palm of his hand. His elbow was propped up by the cup holder on the inside of the car door.

Gordie leaned back in his seat, lacing his fingers together behind his head and closing his eyes. Despite having made the trip to Hammerlocke...countless times, he still had the GPS on. Just for extra assurance. Directions weren't Leon's forte, after all.

The drive was relatively quiet, save for the music their driver had put on. Neither Gordie nor Leon made any attempt to speak up-- it was early in the morning, and both men were still tired.

After a while, Piers had laid his phone down on his chest and had finally fallen asleep. Not like he could make up for a full nights rest in a few minutes, though; he was probably going to wake up grumpy and snappy.
Milo sat quietly in the back the entire ride, just watching the silhouette of objects whizz by through the car window. They were just barely visible underneath the midnight blue sky, but he liked it that way.

Leon finally seemed to slow down some once the passed through the entrance to Hammerlocke, and began winding his way through the streets towards the Gym. Once the front came into view, Leon pulled into a nearby parking space, leaving the car running as he hopped out to go get Raihan, and whoever his friend was.

Neither Milo or Piers spoke when Leon hopped out of the car to go get Raihan and his friend. They stayed the way they were, with piers blissfully sleeping and Milo watching whatever was going on outside.

Raihan was waiting underneath the archways, tapping away at his phone tirelessly. After a long while of searching, he’d finally managed to find a pokeball that worked on the Sliggoo, which he’d given to Bonnie once the small Pokémon had been returned.

Bonnie had returned Ray to their pokeball in that time, and stood with her back against the wall as she preoccupied herself with her phone. When the sound of approaching footsteps became audible, she glanced up from her screen.

When he saw her, Leon simply gave a nod in greeting, before directing his gaze to Raihan. "You still willing to drive?"

Raihan rolled his eyes as he looked up at Leon. “I guess. I didn’t think you’d actually be that tired.” He put his phone away in his pocket and continued talking, “We’re gonna stop at the Heroes Bath. I’m not sure how long it’ll take, to be honest.” He shrugged, looking over at Bonnie.

Leon squinted his eyes, glancing over at Bonnie in minor confusion; the young woman only gave him a finger gun in response, effectively answering nothing. "...Okay. The others decided to tag along, so hopefully they wont mind."

Bonnie's brow furrowed; the others? She wasn't trying to show everyone and their mother that she had a legendary with her. She didn't need that kind of attention. Christ. Nonetheless, when Leon turned to leave, Bonnie pocketed her phone to follow him to the truck. The guy looked...familiar.

Raihan rolled his eyes at the mention of the others and followed behind Leon, keeping pace with Bonnie and giving her a nudge.
“The guy is Champion here in Galar, y’know.” He said, eyeing her from the side. “You don’t know him?”

Milo noticed the others coming back to the truck and gently gave Piers a nudge, which was met with a slap to his hand.
“Ow...” Milo mumbled, rubbing where he’d gotten hit.
Piers just growled and opened the car door with half-lidded eyes. He went straight for the truck bed and didn’t bother giving Gordie a nudge.
