The princess hesitated, then jumped from the tree.
"You seem very... animal like. I'd say werewolf, though I might be wrong?" She said.

And if a silence filled the air do you think that anyone would even care? Would they be aware... of the mounting snow...
"Lycanthropy is a disease, not a denotation of fae blood... I'd be tempted to guess Cu sith, but you dont actually run around on all fours... unless you're just... faking it for giggles... Changeling, maybe? No, those are acknowledged among the houses..."
The voice came from no-where, and everywhere, all at once, as did a series of giggles that could only be pixies... Which were promptly hushed with a rustle of angry-sounding wind.
"Perhaps some form of goblinoid? Technically of fae blood, but unrecognized due to the fact that they tend to be uglier than sin, unless their bloodlines are significantly diluted.. But that doesn't explain the teeth..." The voice continued, a contemplative sound to it. "Hmm... technically fae, but unrecognized as such, canine secondary teeth, with human preface... Color me stumped... unless you ARE a lycanthrope, and simply making claims..."
A bit of searching might turn up the voice coming from the knott in a nearby tree, though it would move not long after being found, to another, and then another. "Barghest? No.. again, not on all fours... Though I suppose if you lived long enough, you might have acquired the power to take on a human form. Rather rare for that breed, tho... tending as they do to being hunted by the humans..." Soft tutting sounds can be heard from overhead, and a pair of ruby-petaled flowers unfold on a tree branch, laden with heavy hanging willow-moss, which warps and weaves into the face of a young woman, the rest of her body lost into the branch. A dryad. A very curious one, at that. "Goodness, such an odd collection out in the woods today..."

The woman that was being carried by the man could hear the conversation going, even when she was about to sleep. She opened her sharp, red cat eyes a little, the voice all around the area made her anxious but stayed still. And once she could hear the voice being clearer at a specific direction, she tilted her head a little just to look at the Dryad.
She looked at the man a little. Unsure if he just might be a vampire by any chance. Or related to them. And turning her gaze by at the dryad, she stared at the face on the tree. “Who. Who are you?” She said a little quietly. Unaware if she would be able to remember their names. But unsure if the Dryad is even hostile.

Sai laughed, a humorless, dry sound. "None of those, darling. Here, I'll even give you a hint; tails." He grinned wickedly and then looked down, noticing the woman was awake. His expression softened and he started moving quickly in the general direction of other people, a few miles away.
Once he was just out of sight, instead of continuing, he adjusted her position and held her closer to him. Vines crept out of the ground around him, tendrils snaking upwards and curling around her. Wide leaves spread over her wounds and over her eyes, and for just a few moments her entire body glowed with a soft light. The light faded as the plants withered and dropped to the ground, leaving her fully healed, though still exhausted- he hadn't been able to compensate for the blood loss, plants don't exactly have blood.

"Oh, a kitsune! Long way from home, aren't you? And what do you mean, not recognized, your name literally means "fox fairy"." The dryad paused, following along through the trees as the thousand year fox dashed through the forest, still curious about just what brought so many fae out to her little section of the woods.
"A... name... huh.. that's a new one... I suppose I dont really have one, if I'm honest. These days I tend not to talk all that much to people... humans tend to get jumpy when faced with a creature known for stealing their pretty young men, even after I tell them I'm uninterested." she snorts softly, the sound bringing a sudden gust through the branches around them. "When I was younger, when the world was younger, I was called Caillte. But that was a name given, not my true name."

"The fact that it's in my name means nothing. Some Fae aren't even aware we are related to them in any way." He growled, eyes narrowing as he set the woman down gently, leaning her against a tree trunk. "Especially not kitsune like me." His eyes flashed and he dropped his illusions, letting a full set of nine jet-black tails unfurl behind him.

The princess turned to the group. "Ohh, kitsune. I should have thought of that before." she said.

Sai let eight of his tails vanish again, leaving only his ears and the original tail showing. "Alright, now we've confirmed what I am and you don't seem to want to hurt me- which you most likely would not be able to do, considering I have a full set of tails and I can control plants-" this last part with a raised eyebrow towards the dryad, "I think we'll get along just fine. The girl will wake up in the next couple hours."

"Ah, yes, lets make thinly vieled threats toward the person whose home you are invading. Color me absolutely surprised you managed to live the full thousand years to collect all nine tails with that pile of manure you call an attitude." For a fae being who, within reason, should have very little contact with the outside world, this dryad had a knack for sarcasm only a human could appriciate. "I would also point out that just because I live within the trees, does not MAKE me a plant. Though I am this forest's mother tree..."
She rolled on the tree limb she was sprouting out of, long viney hair tumbling down over the branch. "All of these gorgeous oaks are my daughters... The elms are transplants, but admittedly so am I." She snorts again, laughing at her little joke.
"Not even the gods can control a dryad tree, so best of luck. The worst you could do, is chop me down, but you dont know where I am. And I've enough power reserved to last a few years while I regrow."

The princess bowed solemnly to the dryad. "The Elf Fae respect nature, especially the Mother Tree of their forest."
